Well since he got 4 gift decisions in his last 5 fights, and straight up is ducking pavlik and running to another division, and has lost even the respect of alot of his hometown fans. I'd say he's lost some respect.

If he moves up to 168 without fighting Pavlik, then he loses a lot of respect.

However, he should not lose respect for getting decisions in close fights with Hopkins and Wright. He was the one in the ring and the judges are the ones who caused the 2 wins and 1 draw.

He should have thrown more punches against Spinks though. For a guy who is the Undisputed MW champion, it was a terrible performance.

Taylor is very athletic and really physically strong for a middleweight, but technically, he is still very raw. I think Pavlik is better technically than he is.

nothing wrong with taylor`s comp and he gets a fair bit of stick for all his fights since he became champ.

ouma and spinks are small and taylor is a very big middleweight which is why the critism i suspect.

we all expect the big guy to beat the shit out of the little guy.

i mean if you put middleweight spinks in the same ring as light welterweight hatton, IMO they would look in the same weightclass.
