If looks are anything to go by - Friday night's Heavyweight bout is going to bring the house down...

Alex Leapai is no shrinking violet but at the official weigh-in he was dwarfed by the 6' 4" and 117 kilo frame of his opponent Michael Kirby.

Kirby sporting a crew cut and plaited pony tail looked ready to throw down on the spot. So expect fireworks from the opening bell if not before!

Chris McCullen and John Cotterill were both in awesome shape and with the Australian Title on the line both of these two boys will leave nothing in the tank by the final bell.

Nathan Briggs has a steely look in his eye and Sam Leuii will be in for a torrid time as the Nasty Boy seeks to regain his drive.

Mick Shaw and Jim Savage both have a reputation for being in bar room style brawls. Expect nothing less as these two QLD warriors go 6 rounds at Welterweight

Finally the opening bout of the night may be the most exciting with two young lions trying to set themselves for a career on the Brisbane boxing scene.
Jason Hartmann V Terry Lambert over 4 powerhouse rounds.
