Funny to see a Floyd fan say its not about how many tickets a fighter sells.

What's so funny about that? I don't care about how much any fighter sells because I'm not gonna see that money. I wanna see them fight.

I don't know about that. 16,000 tickets were sold for Mayweather/Hatton in 30 minutes. The average price for those tickets were much higher than this fight. If the average ticket prices for a Mayweather/Cotto fight were as low as this fight, I would bet they could do 55-60 thousand tickets in about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

its not a competition bigreg,it just shows how loyal hattons fans are and that they'll go in the masses to see him fight anyone.

i was just puttin it into context sayin Floyd and Cotto wouldnt get that many tickets sold. Thats probably the biggest fight out there right now if it happens.
Hatton on the other hand is fighting a nobody and would sell double 55,000 if there was the seating.

I highly doubt it, mate. Mayweather, whilst he may be a PPV draw, he doesn't attract fans to the arena. Look at his fights before de la Hoya and Hatton. Very mediocre attendances, even against fairly big names. He just doesn't draw many fans to arenas.

Cotto isn't a huge draw either. He may do well in NY, but outside there, forget about it.

A fight between them would do 20,000 max.

That just proved that Hatton is still a boxing star in UK. His loss to PBF did not diminish his star power.

word is Hatton made more money than PBF in their last fight

I'm not surprised he can draw alot of people but im surprised that people are so excited even though he's fighting a nobody
