Is there any other lightweight that is able to box with Lenny and put on a good show other than Kickett?

And mismatched, blown up filo lightweights at that.

Not a good sign for Lenny that Dulog had him on the canvas twice and even Santillanosa last week rocked him before getting blown out as expected. There's two guys who are not natural lightweights and not big punchers who have shaken Lenny.

He's a talented kid but his chin will be a huge setback for him. Plus, he has digresses from being a boxer to a puncher nowadays. He is getting wild and getting caught in the process. Not knocking the kid, because he is talented but I don't see him cutting it on the international stage.

Anyone reckon he would have benefitted alot from stayin in the amatuers just a lil while longer and goin to the olympics before goin pro??

he'd still only be 20 by that time and the extra year or 2 whateva it was would have done heaps for him

What about Amir Khan then?

Amir Khan would absolutely f*cking annihilate him. This guy will end up being a contender on the world stage AT BEST. He doesn't have what it takes to compete with the top guys in the division.

If he did, he wouldn't be getting knocked down by lessor fighters, and would be far more dominant at this stage of his career.

Great analysis by MSTR.:good
I like Zappa, but yeh he is prob a contender on the world stage at best.
Luckily he has age on his side so hopefully his team can get the improvements needed in his defense, so they can get the most out of him.

Not sure Sammy.

I personally reckon thats two more years the National coaches would have tried to mould his style into one that would give him more international amateur success.

I think Lenny is a boxer suited perfectly for the pros.

I got no problem with Lenny taking his time stepping up, he is young. I just think going over old ground and taking backward steps dont make any sense. And his increasing wildness and overzealous approach might having something to do with the frustration of fighting the same calibre of opponants.

Time for a step up and hopefully a Kickett matchup late in the year.

yeah good call.... your probly right... i've only seen that video of him but i was just thinkin at such a young age maybe the extra time woulda help to develop better boxing technique..... but i can understand what your saying perfectly.....

i dont rate australia's nationals coaches.... i herd from a credible source that 1 of the dudes in the olympic team was beatin twice by someone else and is still in the team not the guy who beat him.. what kinda shit is that

Spot on.

He is obviously a decent fighter who can put punches together well but definetly no world beater.

The cream of the crop never have trouble with the calibre of fighters he has faced thus far in his career.

Good luck to him though.Should be good seeing him on the end of a Willie Kickett boxing lesson in the future.
