Yeah I agree. I PM'd C HOP after the fight because we had a bet and I won. But I told him that he doesnt really need to take the 1 month off bet between us because I thought JMM was just as deserving to win the fight. C HOP disagreed though and said that he'll honor our deal and take the 1 month off bet...

But yeah, I defo agree that ALL the time off bets should be officialy off. Both men were winners in all honesty.

GO PAC-JMM 3!!! PLEASE PAC RECONSIDER!!!

I couldn't pick a winner for this fight, at first I thought pac would win, then thought Marquez after re-watching the first fight but then decided its too close to call and it looks like I was right :yep no bets should be honoured.

I was so ready to honor that one month off bet, if ever Pacquiao loses.

In fact, I was about to sign up for my new alias, named Pampangueno. :yep

Here's a free tip for the future: in a close fight where the betting underdog you think will end up winning you pick to win by UD rather than stoppage, NEVER bet on that fighter if the other fighter is younger and a bigger star. Boxing is a business and they're not in the business of having their stars lose.

Pacquiao was always going to be given the nod in a close fight because he is jounger, the bigger star and has a better record against Mexican fighters. Unless you are a legend, like El Terrible, you are unlikely to be given a close decision against a star, like Pacquiao!

BTW i have a very, very good track record in my betting but thanks for the advice.

Poor JMM, even though he is the more complete boxer compared to El Terrible, even Decebel doesn't consider him a legend. Maybe not yet. But time is running out on him. I suggest that he fight Joan Guzman to prove that he is the man at 130lbs. Pacquiao is moving to 135lbs so he is not the man anymore at 130lbs.

both deserved to win, but a win is a win...tough luck! a winner was announced meaning somebody lost..would be different if it was declared a draw. but i dont agree in lay off betting...avatar bets are better when it comes to internet forums.

If Manny had KOed JMM as some of us predicted or if he had dominated JMM to win a close but clear decision, fair enough...take time off; but since most people thought JMM actually won by 1 point, it seems a bit unfair for JMM pickers to take time off.:huh

I predicted a win for Pacman! I am a fan of both - I think JMM is a better boxer but I think Pacman is a better fighter and human being, in general. SO...certainly not a Pac hater here!:nono

And the official result was a SPLIT decision - i.e. officially, the judges couldn't agree who won! So, what is the point of honouring this bet?:huh

for me, no problem. but i feel that some pac takers are really irritated by these robbery threads that keeps coming up that they are not willing to give a free pass for those brave marquez takers. imo, they are benting their ire on the wrong people. those who are whining now did not even join the month-off bet threads. i admire those four jmm fans who did but are keeping their bets. props to albeziel, c hop, reed_man02 and elgrancampeon. :good

You're a simple minded idiot, blinded by the Filipino blood that runs through your veins. I can't consider you a BOXING fan. You're more of a PAC lover.

And I've yet to see you give credit to Juan Manuel Marquez for putting up a great fight and possibly winning, which means you your opinion is worth nothing on this forum.

Brilliant fight! Would love to see a 3rd, but it might not be in the cards. Pac was just stronger and younger, a great in his prime, and has improved dramatically...JMM is a bit past his prime, but fought a near-perfect fight. Pac really showed some grit to work through that bad eye in the 8th. JMM also proved, once again, that he has the heart of a lion, by weathering a few really bad moments. How many fighters can get nailed by Pac, like he did, and not only survive, but work their way back into a position to win? These two really bring out the best in each other!

I had the fight even: 6-5-1 for JMM, minus a pt for the kd; I had the 1st rd even. No one I watched the fight with griped about the decision, some disappointment, yes, but how can anyone argue the point? Great night for boxing.
