This are the ring rankings. Funny that so many ppl here talk about Margo as the number 1 WW, and The Ring has him at number 3. Also funny that he has been in the ratings for 313 weeks and still cant get to number 1, actually Cotto has been in the ratings for 32 weeks and is above him.

Also notice that Mosely in under Cotto and Margo. I bet ppl in here will go balistic about that, since so many ppl in here think he can beat anyone at WW (not me). I actually think the rankings are spot on. Only thing that can be debatable is Cotto and Margo which could be the other way since Margo has been winning for so long, even though I think Cotto beats him.

After placing Areola as #10 HW, The Ring Magazine flushed the cridibility it had in the toilet.

What??? Are you serious? If the y really wanted to put a U.S fighter in the ratings they should have at least put Chambers(even though he does not deserve it either). Arreola simply did not fight and beat anybody of a notice.

So, the only person you could name was another person you say doesnt deserve to be in there?

There is a thread about it already and you can find at least 10 other names that deserve to be there way before Arreola.

After taking money from DKP to rank King fighters, The Ring finally loss all its credibility;)

Geez...... I made the thread to talk about WWs not HWs. HW is the worst division in the sport right now, lets talk about the WW rankings (the best division in the sport right now)

Sorry, my fault. I was just trying to make a point about Ring Magazine credibility. What the fuck Urkal is doing in top 10?

Hey menzo, ring had Margarito as the number one welterweight a few days ago and was number one for a very long time. He just barely got dropped to 2nd and Cotto was given the spot. Mayweather is considered champion. Margo must have been dropped to second due to his innactivity, he hasn't fought since last december and Cotto has fought twice since then.

Get that straight at least.:verysad

i'd put clottey and collazo over baldomir, judah and cintron

Why, Baldomir have good wins over the linear champion of Judah and hype of Gatti.
He lost recently only to #1 pvp .... and haven't been knocked out or something.

Collazo comming from loses either and Clottey isn't there yet.

Its problem of proper timing. Mosley is fighting not very frequently and
Margo is fighting taugh guys constantly. However Cotto is very impressive
comming from good win and Margo is on slight decline.

If Margo wins with Williams impresively he may be above Cotto
easily and there will not be any questions he is above Mosley.

If Mosley win a title in impressive fashion then he may claim to be above
Cotto and Margarito, but right now I don't know where the problem is?

The rankings are about the right.

To be fair I think they were just looking for an American fighter to put in there.

The rankings are fine....though Margo should not have been dropped IMO.

And please....thats as silly as a fighter losing 1 fight and being "exposed". Having one guy who is unbeaten in the top 10 at HW that you don't agree with over a bunch of other unbeaten unproven (just like him) prospects doesn't flush their credibility down the toilet.

On here credibility=making sure not to do anything too american sometimes. One fighter and their credibility is down the toilet? Yah, sure.

I'd put Mosley ahead of Margarito. I'd also put Clottey and Williams a little higher then where they are. Clottey was leading on all 3 scorecards against Baldomir until he got dq'd, and he also would of beat Margarito if not for the broken hand since a lot of people including myself thought he won the first 4 rounds of that fight. Urkal? WTF is he doin there.

Compare Ring rankings to any other major belt rankings. Just do for me please, post it in this thread and lets compare. You will then see why Ring is BY FAR the most credible popular for boxing rankings.

To be fair with The Ring and Arreola....Peter was also placed in the Top10 -back in 2005- without beating anyone before except journeyman and fringe contenders.

The Ring's 147 lb ratings are fine. :good
