After all the stick that Bunce and Watt get, what would be the best pundit team.

Let says that it has to include;
1. Play by Play Commentator
2. Co Commentator (Ex Pro)
3. Ring Side Interviewer

and then in the Studio;

1. Ex Pro
2. Current Pro
3. Journo
4. Presenter

2. Richie Woodhall
3. Max Kellerman

and then in the Studio;

1. Johnny Nelson
2. David Haye
3. Claude Abrahms
4. Jim Lampley

HBO a couple of years ago. Larry, Jim and George. You can't beat that ever.

British commentators are really weak. Bunce and Watt are ok, that's it.

Duke would surely be involved.

I'd like to hear Mike Tyson commentating.

I like Jonny Nelson as a pundit. He calls fights well and is very articulate.

I don't know too much about American commentators, but the British ones would be as follows:

Ian Darke - Commentator
Jim Watt - Co-commentator
Jim Rosenthal - Interviewer

The pundits would be Glenn McCrory, Nicky Piper/Barry McGuigan and Johnny Nelson

Each have their own faults - Nelson hugs any fighter from Sheffield, and sometimes dishes out bizarre cards (Williams 116-112 Quintana being a case in point), Nicky Piper is too negative, whilst McCrory can get overexcited. Commentary wise, Ian Darke is better than John Rawling, as he has a clearer tone, and better calmness, whilst Jim Watt sees the fight and calls it superbly (irritating though he can be at times), whilst Jim Rosenthal is a great interviewer - Adam Smith from Sky is also good, but can hug certain fighters, whilst hating on others (Ricky Hatton springs to mind, as does Junior Witter, for obvious reasons!)

Stateside, I think Kellerman is less afraid to ask difficult questions, and is much more articulate than Larry Marchant, who could talk a glass eye to sleep. I don't know anything about their commentators, other than the fact that Lederman is often controversial.

If you judge on Benn-McClennan then Jim Watt is a cock. Hindsight is a fine thing in those situations....

Newbon was just carried away with the atmosphere. Watt was calling McClellan a quiter, no heart etc...he must looks back at that cringe.

I do that if I rewatch a fight to score it, but otherwise I like the atmosphere too much.

I think Mike Costello from BBC Radio 5 Live could do a good job on TV, with George Foreman as the number 2 and Larry Merchant. Johnathan Pearce would be good as a boxing commentator too I think. Ian Darke's good, but Lampley sounds a bit too geekish.

Honestly, what the hell.

Al Bernstien from SHowtime is easily the best, most unbiased commentator ive listened to.

I'd have him and grady.
