Anyone any idea when tickets are put on sale, it looks as though it is going to be at the meadowbank arena for this one on may 3rd.

There is an article on boxing scene which gives this information.

Do not know how accurate it is though.

It states: "Tickets priced £40, £50, £75, £100 and £150 are available from the Meadowba nk on 0131 661 5351, See Tickets on 0871 220 0260, Alex Arthur Snr on 07855703216 and Ticket Scotland on 0131 220 6227."

Seem like decent prices, hope it stays that reasonable.

Any idea on what the undercard is shaping up like?

No doubt you can get the £40 tickets for £200 from a welsh world champ.

I would imagine guys like Rocky Burns and Limmond will be on there, Scott Harrison if he can get him on. Would be nice if Mitchell vs Burns was on there.

Anyone know how Burns is getting on? I see from Boxrec that he has been getting some scraps in since the Johansen fight; although none of them appear to have good records.

I also noticed that he has changed trainer, so anyone aware if he plans to step up the level of fighter soon; or how he is generally getting on?

I had high hopes for Ricky, and hope he can go on to claim British/Euro titles, then who knows.

He has great workrate but lacks a KO punch. A bit more power and he would have beaten Arthur. His stamina was below par as well.

Mitchell v Burns? Has there been rumours about this fight happening? Please tel lme yes!
I dont think ****** would risk Mitchell fighting in Scotland though against a slickster like Burns, a bit too risky if you ask me. Hope Im wrong though.

As for the fight, sad its not taking place in Glasgow, but Meadowbank had a great atmosphere for the Arthur vs Foster jnr scrap.

At least its been confirmed now though, & hopefully Arthur beats this cocky cockster.

Think mitchell would have to much for Burns after watching his last fight. Will need to put on a good undercard as I don't think Arthur is a massive ticket seller. Probably will have Kenny Anderson, Gary Young ( is he still boxing) , Gary McMillan, Burns, Colin McNeil

I agree that Mitchell would be the favourite after his win against Johanesson, but I still dont think ****** would want to make this fight in Scotland as if Burns boxes hes a tough opponent for anyone, & could win by decision with a scottish crowd cheering him on.

As for Arthur, im sure the scottish boxing fans will turn out in their droves for Arthur this time.
Gary Young? Whose he?;)

Would like to see it, but politics and money will probably stand in the way of this fight for a couple of months yet.

There's still no word yet on the Sports Network site.

I personally don't see this fight taking place until mid to late May at the earliest.

Tickets ordered off ticket scotland...relatively painless enough (well, not the £140 i'm now out of pocket, but the process!)
