Mosleys body shot he landed on Shannon Taylor at the end of round 5 looked very painful

If I just said "Julio Cesar Chavez, pick a fight" would that suffice as a proper answer?

Jose Torres' left hook to the body of Willie Pastrano to win the title.

Pastrano said he saw "yellow spots" when the punch landed.

Didn't Mickey Ward hit some dude with a paralyzing shot on ESPN one nite which ended a close fight.

I was a massive Shannon Taylor fan and I have to admit when Sugar Shane hit my man it took the wind out of me

I sat through the Roy video - i know everyone has an opinion on the guy but ....damn....Where is the next Junior, middle or Supermiddle who can do that

Probably not born yet. RJJ is the most physically gifted fighter of all-time.

Tito shot on Mayorga was nice. Im not buying Oscars stoppage at the hands
of his business partner as a legit shot.

Gatti against Dorin was not only brutal, it was a truly beautiful knockout. Picture perfect, and one of my favorite Gatti moments.

I agree one thing ward could do was go to the body. He was an excellent body puncher. I would say the best of this generation.

First post, and I'd just like to say "Waaaazzz Up" to everybody on the boards here. Glad to be here and I'm looking forward to talking about the Sweet Science. With some Knowledgeable boxing fans for a change (I blame ESPN). Which btw is getting harder to do outside of the internet. Now I'm actually surprised that nobody has mentioned Cotto's left hook body shot vs Quintana. At 00:50 u can actually hear the "HULK SMASH" in the background. That's how hard of a body shot it was.

Man when Hop hit Hoya with that shot I could believe the impact it had on Oscar body. Even Oscar couldn't get up, but he could only hit the canvas with his glove. That made Jones vs Hill look like nothing. J/K that shit was faked and everyone should of got there money back

My favorite is Jones-Hill.

I also liked Arguello-Kobayashi.

How come no-one has mentioned Hatton's KO of Castillo and Ward's knockdown of Gatti in round 9? Both of those were pretty brutal.

Gerry Cooney's rib breaker left hook to to Ron Lyle. I never heard a sound like that before, or since.

The Torres to Pastrano I think was more about placement, it didn't look or sound that rough.

Gatti had several great bdy shots.

How about the body shots that Sugar Ray put on Hearns in the first fight.

Ward on Shea Neary

Ward on Gatti ( first fight rnd 9 I think it was )

Gatti on Dorin was a peach mainly because it seemed to be the last thing Dorin was expecting

Norton doubling up Ali with a left hook to the solar plexus in fight three. Think it was round six. Absolute scorcher.

Mildenberger landed a good one on Ali too.

I couldn't believe the bombs Ali took to the body in Manila. He took a lot of vicious body shots in Zaire too. Ali had an incredible ability to absorb body shots. He finished very strong in both of those fights despite the heat and taking all those body shots.

Those were multiple body shots you were referring to. Although Tommy closed the show with his traditional right hand, the body shots he landed leading up to that knock out were beautiful. For a tall lanky guy, he sure had a hell of a left hook to the body.
