Mayorga is just looking for another good payday, I'm not buying his talk about becoming the champ again. Vargas however is a guy who I believe honestly cares about his legacy and his fans, of course he too is looking for a good payday, but I think he wants this victory a little bit more. i think Vargas can stop him late but think he may chose to box as in some interviews he has said how much smarter and more intelligent he is and how he is a boxer-puncher, not just a dumb brawler like Mayorga, so maybe a points win is on the cards.

Vargas has given the public way more good fights than Mayorga.

Besides the first Forrest fight and the Lewis rematch, Mayorga has only given the public real entertainment in the ring in the past few years by being a punching bag in taking brutal beatings against far superior fighters in Trinidad and De La Hoya.

Problem is you actually think he has something left. Why you would think that I have no idea. Every single outting he's had he's looked even older and slower than his previous fight. The man looks completely shot at age 29.

Honestly I have no clue why you or anyone would pick Vargas over Mayorga other than maybe because you're a bit of a biased fan of the guy... because at this stage, Vargas looks absolutely terrible in the ring.
