Do you remember todd foster?? he was an olympian in 88 for the USA.

he had an exciting style and a good punch. he was hailed as the next ray mancini and was ranked number 11 by ring magazine.

but then he met former champ jimmy paul.........and took a horrible pounding, getting knocked down an cut up. had he not suffered this, could he have done some things at lightweight in 92???

I think Foster's ameteur career insured he wouldn't be around for too long as a pro.
Foster could have gone on to bigger things if not for his beatings at the hand of a comebacking Paul.
Foster could punch pretty good so I think he could have challenged for a title. How successful he would have been I don't know.
His bout with Kelice Banks was a very good bout.

i always liked foster, but like most tearaways, he was never going to be long in boxing.

his chin more or less totally "went" after the paul beating......and with his style, that was his death sentence.

a shame, cause he really could put on a show. and he sure could punch.

Todd Foster was insulted if you missed him with a right hand...

I wouldn't go as far as to say that. His defence wasn't the best but it wasn't horrendous either.
