this saturday. I think Gomez is a good prospect and probly a future champ, but hes not experienced enough or strong enough. Gatti will come out blazing to prove hes not past his prime and beat down Gomez. I think Gatti will start out jabbing but in rounds 3 and 4 he will start firing bombs and stop Gomez. Gatti TKO4. Thoughts on the fight?

good prospect and future champ? LOL thats the funniest shit i ever heard, He'll never be no champ are u crazy.. And he's a very average fighter. If Gatti loses then he better retire before he gets killed in the ring.

Gomez stood in there with Peter Manfredo toe to toe for two fights and was able to win one of them and make the second fight just as close, Gatti no matter how hard he can hit I still dont think he hits as hard as a super middleweight, with that being said I think Gatti does good early but Gomez kicks it up in the 3rd round and takes over the older shop worn Gatti.

Gatti is back!

He'll be taking one-sided beatings from elite fighters (or lesser fighters) in no time!

Look dude, you noticed that gatti was ktfo last time..........by light hitting carlos baldomir. and it was a bad knockout!!!

there is no way he is still in his prime. and his oppoenent is just a future journeyman who happens to be famous due to a television show.

gatti should quit right now and have his head examined. cause if he aint braindamaged then no one gets braindamage from boxing.

yes he is in his prime. He will show you saturday. Hopefully GBP CEO Richard Shafer was serious about the possibility of a Gatti-Mosley fight. That would be a war.

Beat me to it - that was my first reaction when I saw this thread. Gomez a future champ??? :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl He's a future GATEKEEPER, if he's lucky. :yep

Leave it to the fanboys to start hyping some ordinary fighter to make their guy look good. Gatti better beat this guy - it he doesn't, like you say, he's DONE. :nod

He is just a slugger, and people like him b/c of his heart thats it. He doesnt have any real "Boxing ability". I saw in your other thread about him beating Sweet Pea. You must be mad, beating ALI if he gets inside lol. Gatti couldnt beat his own dick lol if some1 showed him how to. Face it Gatti was never an elite fighter. But he wil always be remembered for the wars he was in. Other than that :hi:

Baldo is a MW fighting at WW. PBF stopped Gatti on his tracks with his power, judging what both Baldo & PBF did to Judah in terms of power...I would say Baldo is above PBF in the power department. Gatti is as hes always been, an above-journeyman level type of fighter, Baldo is on the same league as him or below except he had a huge weight advantage.

Gatti wins this easy, hes not that past prime as people think. He would have gotten KO'd against Baldo even in his prime.

all you guys do is hate. Gatti is still in his prime. IMO he could still be the best welterweight in the world. A win over Gomez will likely place him in the top 5. I think he will be ready for a title shot after this win. And your crazy if you think Gatti cant box did you see the Leija fight?

I can’t see Gomez winning this one – I’m sorry. 80-20 in favour of Gatti at least. Even though Gatti is over his prime.

The only reason you should give Gomez a tiny chance, is because he is the taller and physical bigger guy – contrary to the situation in the “great pretender series”. Gomez 5’9 and Gatti 5’7½. So a little concern in that respect.

But again, Gatti has fought elite fighters in almost all his career. Gomez best opponent is by far Manfredo. And Manfredo was only a big Super-Welterweight when facing Gomez. And 8 rounds fights are max so far in Gomez career. :nonono

he knocks out Williams for sure Williams is NOT on Gattis level. The other two would be good fights not sure about who wins.

Gatti is a C level brawler, Williams is at least a B fighter right now. Andre Berto would KO Gatti probably.
not probably, definately. Berto would knock Gatti out most definately. If he wants to brawl with Berto, Berto can handle it, If he wants to trade. Berto has way more power, So Gatti will go down 1st. And if he actually wants tyo try and box, Berto will beat him there as well.

Manfredo would beat Gatti.

Ya - but Manfredo has developed a lot since the series. And he was mentally not very strong when he lost the famous 5-rounder. :think

I think Gatti will be able to outbox Gomez to a great extent, eventually stopping a tired Gomez in the 6-9th round.

You cannot be serious - Gatti in his prime??:patsch How long have you followed this sport, kid?? Gatti is DONE as a top level fighter. The very fact that a fight with someone as limited as Gomez is even a question mark show how far Gatti has fallen.
