Look mate to date you have not started one decent thread and appear to be a pure attention seeker. There are countless other threads covering the same topic, so post on them and stop trying to be the star of the forum.

no, no, I mean this one. Some people just enjoy the way Mayweather won without considering that Hatton was the one moving up in weight class, and I appreciate that from Hatton as he did it very well.

How many times has Mayweather moved up? Plus Hatton had fought at WW before.

Hatton looked like crap when he moved up the first time, is not good at 147. The ref would not allow him to fight his fight and was in favor of Mayweather. Ref took away a point from Hatton because he hit the ring rope with a punch! Peter hits opponents behind the head over and over again in every fight, yet no points taken away from him. The judges were Mayweather's judges and ref same. I would have liked to have seen a level playing field. Would like to have neutral judges and ref, have the fight in neutral territory or in England instead of in Mayweather's backyard.
Even Emanuel Steward said the ref was wrong in taking a point away from Hatton, he did not land a punch on Mayweather's back of head. Mayweather was using so bad tactics, yet nothing.

Hatton doesn't belong at 147.

Yes, and fighting in Mayweather's backyard shows that Hatton is more than good, and it's true, he dont belong at 147lbs.

Yes, Mayweather has movep up several times, but you have to agree that Hatton dont belong at 147 and this shows that hes more than good. You have to understand that Mayweather had the weight advantage.

Makes me think if Hatton had beaten Mayweather would his next fight really have been in the UK, he claims this & that, doing it for the fans etc, etc, and yet his next fight is on sky box office. I like watching Hatton fight, but putting his come back fight on box office, i don't think so. Oh and i had a pizza and garlic bread.

Accusing Joe Cortez is purely sour grapes. Hatton was and is incapable of beating PBF. If they fought a 1000 times PBF will school Hatton even in Manchester. Hatton has always been a fairly dirty fighter however PBF is a complete fighter and showed him a few tricks as well in this department. It is quite funny to hear Hatton complaining of the rough stuff.

Hatton has always been a brawler, roughing up opponents is part of his game plan, the hit & hold tactics worked until the Mayweather fight, he was basically beaten in every department by a better fighter. Look at the Stephen Smith fight Hatton split the guys eye open with an elbow, if Hatton is going to complain it shouldn't be about rough house tactics.

Somebody back me up on this...Frank ****** wears a wig, I'm sure of it.Quite possibly. I'm convinced Kevin Mitchell has had some kind of hair loss treatment. He used to be very thin on top, yet last time out he had a right old mop of hair. Perhaps it's my imagination.

Maybe ****** does wear a piece it's hard to tell, some boxers who lost their hair just go for the complete shaved look, Matthew Hatton, Ryan Rhodes, Mark Hobson, certainly looks better than a few strands being watered down in between rounds. Not sure about Mitchell but Calzaghe's hair looks a bit suspect sometimes.

Hatton tried his best against possibly the greatest fighter since Ray Leonard, (although maybe Pernell Whitaker was just as good as Mayweather), Ricky did what he could but he was outclassed and knocked out, there is no disgrace in that at all, Mayweather is hugely talented and skilled fighter that could belong in any era (maybe not at 147, i think a Leonard or Hearns could take Floyd out) .. If there was a guy like Floyd in Calzaghe's division then Joe wouldnt stand much of a chance either, so when people critisise Ricky for the Floyd performance it must be put into perspective. Ricky is a great fighter but Floyd is better in every department, it would be comparable to Joe stepping in at Light Heavy with a late 90s Jones Jr, as good as Joe is and i think hes brilliant, he would never beat a late 90s Jones Jr because that kind of ability is truly 'All Time Great'

Then why it took so long Mayweather to beat Hatton at 147???

Then why it took so long Mayweather to beat Hatton at 147???Hatton's not that old, I think he's like 28 or something. If he was 147, I dare say he'd be bald or wearing a wig like JC, FW and Kevin Mitchell.

The reason it wasn't so bad is that FMJ is the best boxer in the world today. That's really all that needs saying. The fact that Hatton is 'this' or Hatton is 'that' is frankly immaterial. He'd lose to FMJ at any weight also.

Watch PBF fights at 140 such as what he did to Gatti and then wake up. You seem to forget that PBF started his career at 130. It was nothing to do with the weight and everything to do with the qualities of both fighters period. I knew what would happen and that Hatton's style was made to order for PBF.

What's this whining about point deduction? Hatton was KNOCKED OUT! That's what ended the fight. No point deduction of any kind. IF you're knocked out the points don't count. The fight is over!
And for all that whining about weight advantage: In boxing, there are so called weight classes or a fight can be agreed so that the fighters fit in certain agreed weight. That's when talking about weight advantages should stop. After that it's about what happens in the ring. There's no handicap of any guy given to lighter, younger, older, uglier, poorer guy or for any other reasons either. If there is a weight difference within weight class and it's is a problem for you, buy a ticket and watch other guys fight.
If this fight took place in so called "neutral ground" or even in Hatton's living room, the only difference I see is that neutral, Hatton-friendly, Mayweather-hostile, or what ever kind of ref could have allow Hatton take more beating if his team didn't throw the towel in like they did now. He COULD have been hit down few more times. In my opinion that would have been more embarrashing and more dangerous for Hatton. The ref did a favor to hatton.
If they fight again we'll see what happens then. I believe Hatton will find himself trying to get back on his feet from the canvas again.
