In Mexico. Is this going to be on Telefutura? I probably am more interested in watching him fight than Allan Green.

The guy he's fighting is a can from Japan, a guy who's never been stopped, but who's also never fought a true hitter.
Mijarez is not a hitter, but he's a brutal punisher, I see this going about 5-7 rounds.

Right now, I see some guy named Rojas against some other bro. Is there anything/anyone of interest on the undercard here guys? If not, I'm probably only going to watch the main event.

how long til the main event?

Main event is on now...not much happened first round. Mijares wins it but doesn't accomplish much.

Mijares handily wins Rd 2

Kikui bringing anything to the table?
jam26
07-14-2007, 12:31 AM
Rd. 3....more domination by Mijares.

Kikui bringing anything to the table? Nothing at all. He looks out of place in there.

07-14-2007, 12:34 AM
Rd. 4, Kikui tries to get active, but Mijares lands the jab at will and dominates another round.
jam26
07-14-2007, 12:39 AM
Rd. 5...more spirited effort from Kikui but Mijares still takes the round. Kikui simply doesn't have anything on his punches.
jam26
07-14-2007, 12:43 AM
Rd. 6...great round, Kikui starts throwing but opens himself up to some big bombs from Mijares. Mijares is more powerful and wins the round, but it's the most exciting round so far.
jam26
07-14-2007, 12:47 AM
Rd. 7....not much going on in there. Closer round but I give it to Mijares.
jam26

Mijares all over Kikui in that round, had him in big trouble. Kikui survives but Mijares wins the round and with Kikui not a KO threat, this one is as good as done.

cool, thanks. :good

Rd. 9...Kikui again in trouble but hangs in there. Lands a few good shots of his own - but simply not enough power behind them to hurt Mijares.

Think it gets stopped soon? This Japanese kid must be tougher than his record reflects.:think

Kikui was a typical Japanese fighter...they simply don't quit. He was way overmatched and took a real beating. Mijarves looked good but I'd like to see a rematch against Arce.

Kikui gives a puffy-faced smile from his corner. Happy to have survived, I believe. The Fight TV announcer is having trouble talking due to all the tobacco smoke in the air. And that's it!
