Gardner is very awkward.
Gardner is very awkward.
Yes,he is ,but so is Golovkin. Good match ! Golovkin has been matched quite toughly up to now.Makes me wonder! Kohl and his matchmaker are not that known for spending decent bucks on their boys's opponents.
Furthermore in terms of markebilty in Germany Golovkin is a nightmare.
I am positive that Gardner wont fight for peanuts.Makes me really wonder!
Anyway! Gardner is a good name with a good reputation.
Excellent foe for Golovkin's 11th pro fight!

Boytsov is fighting on the 26th. For some reason I though it was coming up on Saturday. OH WELL.... GO GOLOVKIN!!!
Hopefully there will be a live stream...:thumbsup
Verly unlikely. Universum does not provide livestreams. And keep in mind that the chief support is a women's fight (or should I say mismatch).
Golovkin won a unanimous decision twice 78:73 and 77:74.
Middleweight (8 Rounds)
Gennady Golovkin (KAZ) vs. Ian Gardner (CAN)
W PTS; 78:73, 78:73, 77:74
German tv didnt show Golovkin's entire fight yesterday evening. As far as could be seen Gardner took some decent shots, but he now and then connected with some pretty good punches, too.
Golovkin stated that he was content with his performance, but would have liked to go more rounds.
Good victory for Golovkin over a good opponent with some name recognition!

I wrote Gennady a message on his site. Invited him to join us on ESB and talk about his fights/career. Asked him to have his next fight filmed and posted on youtube.
For those who connesse golovkin I would like to know more about them, or you stand at the global level, his latest opponent has made equal with abraham, is what you think golovkin a chance against abraham or sturm?

Right now Golovkin would probably lose to Abraham and Sturm, but it will be a totally different matter in about 2 years IMO.
According to the news Golovkin will appear on Vitaly Tajbert's undercard on may the 10th. His opponent isnt yet known.
golovkin vs Ibrahim Sid tomorrow.
Anyone seen yesterday's fight show in Germany?

GG looks pretty good. His skills are great. And his power seems very good. Golovkin seems to be a very good counter puncher. The only negative that I saw was he could throw a few more punches.
Gennady Golovkin won his last fight by wide point decision(80:72,80:72,79:72) on the undercard of Kessler vs Sartison in Denmark against Amar Ameri from Algeria.
somebody has news about Gennady Golovkin? It is very well ranked WBC and WBA but no information.

:huh
Chad Dawson won every round against Gardner and knocked him down 3 times, if memory serves.

I guess he is out of game due to an injury. He wont fight on the undercard of Tajbert vs Gulyakevich nor on any other fight card of his box promotion this year.

Thanks for the info,yal!
Malik Dziarra,eh! He has been out of the ring for quite a long time. He must be ring rusty.Nonetheless,he will be a good test for Golovkin.

Their encounter is really on.
I very much hope that German tv will show their fight.
Golovkin has been matched extremely toughly up to now. He deserves media exposure.
Lets hope that he wont end up like Dzindziruk-another classy fighter whose name is still unknown even to most fight fans!

Yeah, I have big hopes for Golovkin, so I hope they'll air it too.
But aren't ZDF usually only showing the main fight? And then maybe a smaller fight afterwards...?

I think all of us are hoping The Great G to get a title shot in 4-5 fights, if it all goes well. I can't wait!:happy

Short fight in favour of Golovkin. Smart and controlled boxing by him. Moved forward measuring up his oppenent with his jab, working varied to body and head. Dziarra quit in the corner between the second and third round. Seems that he got a bad cut on his left eyelid, caused by a right hook on the inside. He also had a cut on the same side under his eye.
Golovkin TKO 3.
Can't wait to see his next fight!

They need to put GG against someone who will take him at least 10 rounds...he needs to get some rounds under his belt, imo.
Gennady Golovkin vs Javier Alberto Mamani 17/01/2009 in Düsseldorf.

No way,decebal!
Kohl wont spend any big bucks on Golovkin at this stage of his career.
Despite his good amateur career he doesnt have a recognisable name nor has he enjoyed that much tv exposure up to now.
I also doubt that his command of German is good enough to sell him to the German market.
My gut feeling is that Kohl will place his cards in favour of his more promising boys like Alexeev.
Golovkin has talent, and he isnt a fianancially attractive boxer.I may be wrong of course.WEll, I very much hope so!!!
I just read that Gennady Golovkin takes Mariano Carrera on 28/02/2009
