Does he ... can he possibly give Mayweather problems with his speed and boxing skills?

Beat me to it. I'd like to see it happen.

Hell no. He would just end up getting his ass whooped. Mayweather has the perfect offesive arsenal to fight a lefty. I think he and Hopkins are the best orthodox fighters in terms of dealing with lefties. A lefty without respectable power stands little chance against Floyd.

Yes, Spinks can give Mayweather trouble with his movement, quick jab, and southpaw stance. It's a fight that doesn't bring much money, so it will never happen, but despite the reputation both have for being boring (Spinks more so), I'd love to see it.

I think Mayweather would pressure him much the way he did against Zab Judah since Spinks cannot hurt him. He'd have success with his straight right hand lead. Floyd is a more versatile fighter and is a proven adjuster. I'd give him the edge actually. In my estimation, Floyd would seal it down the stretch.

i think Mayweather would knock him out.

especially if Spinks throws punches like he's doing now.

speed for speed? ... Corey Spinks is proven ... i'm not going to be bias in this situation, I wanna hear what people think.

he can box and he's not easily moved out there ... i'm pretty sure he would come in confident, I mean he fought for the middleweight crown and I think he won.

is this a fight that would give Floyd trouble?

I'd love to see this fight ... its a true boxing match and if you appreciate boxing then this is fight that should be in demand.

No matter if Floyd knocks him out or not ... Corey would hold his own and win some rounds.

As much as I hate Floyd and as over rated I think he is, I think he beats Spinks pretty easily. Spinks is complete garbage.

no one thinks that Spinks can do anything?

i'm shocked ... I think that he would put up a better fight then Zab and Hatton. He has better skill than the two ... he's faster than the two and is accomplished.

Verno Phillips is collecting social security at the moment, Spinks better be able to dominate a senior citizen.

Spinks....cause Mayweather isnt a runner:good

...........outside fighters are known for being extremely quick on their feet. Out-fighters are often regarded as the best boxers on account of their desire to win a fight by wearing an opponent down and outclassing an opponent by strategy, rather than simply knocking him out.:smooch

Of course I'd favor Floyd. But since the fight would be mildly competitive, and wouldn't make him $30 million dollars, why bother thinking about it too hard? Ain't gonna happen.

Spinks will try, but he can't beat PBF.

Cory aint got power like that to cause Mayweather much problems.....Zab only posed a threat cause of his speed and power....Mayweather would Toy with Spinks:huh .

it would be a decent match up, pbf and cory have tryed to fight a few times but it never happens.hes taller and has the better reach, he can box very slick and has the south paw stance.

is say it would be a boxing match so if you aint into that then you would be screwed, id say pbf on points.7rds to5rd for pbf.i think he wins a kinda close ud.

I agree with this @ 154

I feel comfortable picking Floyd now, even at 154. It would be a competitive fight, but Spinks was getting hit a little too much for my liking against Phillips (I had Spinks winning 117-111 too). Floyd is much faster than Phillips and much more accurate - his right hand would be the punch landing with the most frequency. Also, Floyd wouldn't have to be safety first like he was against De La Hoya, so he'd put the pressure on Spinks and open up more.

Floyd is clearly miles ahead of Cory when it comes to infighting
