Looks like Franklin gets his rematch against Silva in his hometown. Rich Franklin is one of my favorite fighters, but even in front of his hometown, I don't think he (or any middleweight) will be able to dethrone Silva. I'll cross my fingers though.

You've obviously never seen Paulo Filho fight then have you, not that they would fight each other(as their friends).

I think you're right. I do believe Franklin can win, but I'm not betting on it.

Silva wasn't even the best in Pride mate
So you didn't answer my question, have you seen a full Filho fight, not just highlights on youtube?

I wasn't talking about fighters in Pride, but UFC. I'm sure there is someone in MMA that could defeat Silva, however, they're not fighting in the UFC at the moment.

I really can't be bothered even starting with your knowledge of mma, so we'll just leave it, however youre right about people in the ufc as of right now, nobody can beat him

I didn't ask who he was, I simply stated I didn't know. I am familiar with Pride but have not followed it as nearly as closely as the UFC. I apologize for my overall lack of knowledge in the world of MMA, Mr. Almighty MMA lord. Please forgive me!

Your a fucking asshole. One of those elitist faggot fans who get angry when someone tries to take interest in their sport. Go fuck yourself seriously. who gives a shit if he is JUST knowledgable on the UFC? The UFC has reached a hell of alot of people and generated a shit-load of interest that Pride or other organizations never had. What is a new fan of the UFC supposed to do? Research the history and landscape of MMA, watch 1,000 hours of tape from different organizations before they can speak their opinion about anything pertaining to the sport?????? What the fuck do you care anyway? Franklin was widely recognized as a top 3-5 middleweight in the world before Silva beat him, maybe even #2.....and now that Hendo has said he won't come back down it isn't too far from the realm of possibility that the man that fucking destroyed him and everyone else since may be close to the best fighter at the weight at this given time. What there was no room for improvement in Silva's game? Recently the guy has looked incredible and I'd agree, it is going to be real hard to comfortably favor anyone currently in 185lbs over him.

P4P right now, mines would look something like this;
Anderson Silva (due to Paulo's inactivity of late, and Andersons run)
Filho (He'll go back to number one most probably depending on performance)
Matt Lindland
Franklin/Kang - Undecided over this slot, i'll see soon.You?

This is why I like UFC. Boxing wouldn't make this rematch. In UFC you get rematches, and trilogies. You get shots in fights you don't really look to win. True fighters.
Franklin got hurt something horrible. It was pure domination. Silva was doing some reverse racism shit on his arse.

I want Silva to win this fight. I never paid too much attention to him before he made a splash in the UFC.
He had his best win over Newton but lost Chonan and Takase.
He seemed to be unfulfilled potential to me.
Recently though, the guy has been on fire.........crushing Franklin,Lutter and now Marquardt.
He has gone from a guy I thought was Ok but an underachiever into one of my favorite fighters.
He will crush Franklin, the boo's from the crowd will fire him up even more.
I predict a KO in the 1st.

I'm not sure what you mean by reverse racism?
Are you trying to infere that Franklin was racist to Silva?
Beacause Rich is one of the classiest guys in all of MMA, he speifically asked the crowd not to Boo silva when he came to the octagon.
Another question is, why would you even need to bring about the issue of race at all? can't we just discuss a fighter about how he fights instead of the colour of his skin?

The problem with Rich is he doesnt really have a style or a bread and butter. I mean what exactly is a "freestyle" fighter?!?!?!?!?!

 Its almost as absurd as how they used to credit talentless bums fighting style as "Pit fighting"
I never found out what pit fighting was exactly, but i found that most pit fighters lost regulary. :rofl
Rich is still talented but he came to the game late after being a maths teacher and unlike Couture, has no previous knwoledge of fighting like Randy did with wrestling.
This should be a routine defence of Anderson's belt, everything Rich does, Silva does and does it better.

 Yeh i always laugh at that when they mention it about Griffin. Only in UFC:lol:Griffins style kind of reminds me of a street drunk who did a little bit of boxing when he was younger.I really fail to see what he brings to MMA.Watching him get handled by Jardine like a naughty step child and then spitting his dummy out like a 2 year old was quite blissful.Whats even better is that Goldberg actually has the audacity to call his bout with Bonnar one the best fights in MMA history!

Yes some of them are good but most are mediocre at best.....I mean, Andy Wang? C'mon.....

I think Anderson Silva will win again but it won't be as easy as the last time.
If Franklin wants to beat Anderson He needs to forget about trying to beat Silva at his own game.
Or else He'll lose again.

Griffins style kind of reminds me of a street drunk who did a little bit of boxing when he was younger.I really fail to see what he brings to MMA.
He brings followers. Fans. Forrest Griffin was part of one of the most popular TUF season. I think that's precisely why this guy is still fighting in the UFC.
If you're looking for technic , new moves or a vast knowledge in the expertise of combat fighting...The guy is an absolute nobody in that department...
But that's Dana White for you....Business first.
And maybe it's not such a bad idea afterall.
The more fans , the better...
Like I said several times before , personally...I still don't like the ufc , and the only reason why I'm sometimes watching it is because ex pride fc fighters are more and more participating over there....
I do like some of these ufc fighters though...Guys like Penn , gsp and a few others are fun to watch.
I have to admit , I'm a bit more interested with their LHW division now that Jackson , Hendo , Shogun are part of the mix too...and Machida vs Shogun seems to be like an interesting fight.
I'm also looking forward to see crocop vs Kongo , Couture vs Gonzaga.
but when I compare all these events to what Pride fc used to offer us...It's like day and night. I mean , shit....Even the most boring pride card used to be more exciting than ufc's best card. That's how entertaining pride used to be.
+ quality fighters
+ mega production
+ super presentation...
+ 35 000 to 40 000 fans attending live....
+ better rules....
It used to be fucking insane...Looking back...I'd say it was too good to be true. 2002 - 2006 was a golden era of mma. I'm sure there'll be another one...but right now....It's fucking far from being the case.

I agree with you. In a stand up war Franklin will get owned. Im not sure what kind of game plan Franklin will use to try to defeat Silva.

Franklin's gonna get KO'd in his hometown. He didn't seem to have his confidence back yet against Okami, so I doubt he'll have it for Silva.
Hopefully Hendo does come back down or Filho comes over from Pride. Middleweight is one of the weakest divisions in UFC when it should be the strongest.
