Light heavyweight king Bernard Hopkins will be assisting trainer Jack Mosley in the corner of three-division world champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley for his upcoming May 31st clash with Zab Judah. Hopkins is certainly no stranger to giving advice to Mosley as he can often be seen shouting instructions from his seat to Mosley during several of his fights, including his most recent fight with Miguel Cotto.

The move will put Hopkins much closer to the action, allowing Team Mosley to have a second set of eyes in their corner as well as a master strategist who is known for breaking down his opponents throughout the course of a fight. Hopkins is currently training for his own April 19th showdown with Joe Calzaghe. Afterwards, he'll be joining Team Mosley during the last few weeks of training camp.

Zab is a very exploitable boxer. I'm sure Hopkins will see something, and have a sneaky feeling that something will be a regular oppertunity for a right-hand counter.

That will be entertaining - Hopkins vs Floyd Mayweather Sr & Yoel Judah - I want to get that weigh-in live and exclusive. This probably means Hopkins retires from fighting activity regardless of next April 19th result.

Yeah it doesn't surprise me and I think it's a good move..

They're business partners and I saw them chilling together at the Casamayor-Katsidis fight last weekend...

This certainly can't hurt Shane.

I wonder if Shane will be in Bernard's corner when he crucifies Calslappy?

If that is the case, Judah should try to get Roy to be in his corner.

Hope he is as Nard will need all the help he can get. If he can lose to Taylor twice then he certainly wont be doing any crucifying on Calzaghe:hat

Ahh! Shocker! The ridiculously stupid, yet, oft-repeated non-argument as to why Calzaghe can beat Hopkins!

And your username is the Welsh Dragon? How surprising.

I don't think it will make a difference at all. Mosley is himself a seasoned vet and an ATG if there is anything he will see it withotu bernards help.

Man I hope Zab's dad is gonna be in Zab's corner for this fight.

I know he's not training him but can he still speak during the middle of the rounds?
