So let's tally up. We've got:
An all top-20 welterweight tripleheader on HBO
Jones-Hanshaw on PPV
Krasniqi-Thompson on German TV/the World Wide Web
Jirov-Craven on small-time PPV
and now, apparently, the same folks behind tonight's Mijares PPV from Mexico are putting another $20 PPV card up against all the other Saturday night fights, live from Ireland and headlined by John Duddy.
All we need is Showtime to wrangle together an 11th hour event and 7-14 would officially become the most overbooked day in the sport. :yep

Ya, it's crazy. I'm just gonna go to the local bar and watch whatever they're showing. Not interested in paying for anything that's gonna be on, but I want to see it. I'll pay for Hopkins-Wright next weekend so I can watch it and score it in peace and quiet.

To be honest with you, no single fight has me that excited. It's just the overwhelming quantity of decent fights that makes tomorrow night so impressive on paper.
The HBO card is very solid, but none of those individual fights are, on their own really that strong. Very hyped prospect vs. overrated titlist. Ruined former champ vs. reality show reject. Cintron-Matthyse isn't the greatest fight imaginable, but could end up being the sleeper hit for HBO, I predict it will be the best fight of the evening for them.
Hanshaw will probably steamroll Jones, barring divine intervention. I don't even see Roy as a legit challenge at this point. If someone on here provides a link I may check em out after the important fights are done.
I won't be going out of my way to watch Krasniqi-Thompson, Jirov-Craven, or Duddy-Furlan(:?). If someone provides a vid link on here I may check em out after the important stuff is over.

The only fight I really care about is Margarito-Williams...
I want to watch Gatti fight but I'm scared for his safety.
I know what you mean. with gatti these days you kinda get the feeling that there is always one seat reserved for the grim reaper at ringside:-(

In Mexico the Mijares fight is in National Tv, also the fight of Fernando Montiel versus Santos.

That's okay, $20 won't break the bank. I know I'll be seeing an action fight anyway.

Wiliiams vs Margarito is a very significant fight; I think its premier fight in welterweight division this year unless PBf fights Hatton or Cotto later in the year. To me this fight is more significant than Cotto-JUdah, I think either Williams or Margarito would beat Cotto or Judah.

AM-PW is a must see.
It is in terms of probable excitement, but people are overstressing its importance. If Margarito beats Williams, then we know Paul just wasn't ready to step up to B- competition. If Williams beats Margarito, okay great he beat a B- strapholder. Neither one of them is going to catapult to the top of the rankings just for beating the other.

cotto beats margo and williams!
I dont think he does, those guys are so much bigger than him and have real power and are volume punchers to top it off. I think Cotto would lose against either, I definitely think he has a chance but his defense is so leaky and his chin is suspect. Two things that would hinder him against huge Welterweights with good chins, great workrates, and great stamina.

Margarito has been a top ranked WW for YEARS by Ring Mag. The winner tomorrow will have a damn good shot at beating ANYONE at 147.

I'm a scumbag for rating him at B-? There are many who would consider that generous! This is an objective viewpoint btw, as I am neither a Floyd hugger or hater (seems to be the only types of people ever get really emotionally involved in Marg discussions)

But AM has been a top ranked WW for years and rightfully so. He has also been avoided for years to the detrimant of the sport.

Oh sorry no that was just an assumption on my part. Usually with those European broadcasts someone comes up with a last-minute stream.
