Germainne Sanders vs. Mike Jones right now. Teddy Atlas and specifically the other broadcaster are sucking Jones dick, it's getting kind of repulsive.

1st round very tenative so far, kind of ugly with wrestling goin on
2nd round Smoger warns k9 for initiating the clinches, still ugly action.

Ouma is lunging in a lot, upper body in front of his feet. Throwing kind of wild, then k9 ties him up. Hard to score so far to be honest, but IMO 2-1 Ouma. But im not a pro judge by no means.

K9 NASTY CUT over left eye in round 4. Blood ignites Ouma, he's on attack now!!
pipe wrenched
03-28-2008, 10:43 PM
Round 4 has to be Ouma's. The cut has not been announced yet as if punch or butt for cause. After the blood started flowing, Ouma went on big time attack with K9 backing off getting tagged.

After 8 Teddy's card is 76-75 for Ouma, I think Ouma could be a little more ahead than that, but it is close because it's just a come in throwing by both, crash body/heads, then tie up and fight in a little.
Ouma lands big right hand.

I hear ya, but considering K9 lost a point in a round it looked like he clearly lost that one for sure making 10-8, I have to say I still feel that was wide, could have gone either way, but not expecting wide scores for either. K9 did look strong and kept composure thru the portion of the fight where his eye was gushing.
Ouma just did not look him self really at all. No where near as relentless as usual, sloppy as shit at times, and he wasn't throwing as many punches as what we're used to seeing.

Ouma is done. If he can't throw 90 a round, he can't beat anybody. Don't know whether it's a lack of dedication or his demons surfacing, but what made him a champ seems to be gone. And it hurts, because if there's anybody you'd like to see succeed in the game, it would be Ouma.
Props to K9 though, he made some nice adjustments late.

Yep, Ouma's punch count was way down, but that could have been due to K9's plan of tying him up and fighting so close thru out.:good

I had it 95-94 Ouma. Sloppy fight, not very entertaining. K9 is a fighter that Ouma should be knocking out in seven or eight. Could be the end for Ouma.
The best fight was that second one. 5' 11" lightweight.

3 losses in a row for Ouma, hard to go up from there. Hard to hold the JT loss against him though, for challenging the MW Champ and dropping a UD. So 2 losses really matter in a row.

Somewhat disappointing fight, but the way I look at it, it was as simple as this. Ouma looked awful. Didn't really throw any combinations the entire night. Volume was down. Was eating straight rights. K9 had the better fight plan. Go for the big right. Tie him up. I like how he finally has worked on his left a little. Good win for K9. Bad night for The Dream.

Exactly. Either way or draw. But wide for K9 with a point deduction to boot surprised me. Ouma is SHOT!! He looks nothing like the guy that used to throw 1000 punches a fight guaranteed.:nono Perhaps the roughness of his life has worn in. Great story and admire him as a person but it certainly seems he's slid quite a bit.
Bundrage? Didnt see much improvement. This Win just catapults him into a bigger fight where he'll get spanked by a live opponent. That little cut affected him much more than it should have IMO. He's still the "one trick" pony as far as I can tell. At least he's worked hard for it but I dont think there's a high ceiling on his ability.
Wont complain about the decision but it was a useless fight:-( Neither did anything to shine and Bundrage looked more towards survival rather than being impressive:good
Mike Jones showed some heart and toughness vs his opponent but should have learned he needs more work. Ge got caught with some counter left hook's and needs to be tighter with his D after getting off. Good size on him and it would serve him to use it a bit better.
Glad to see Spaddy ringside. I just saw him 2 nights ago and he looks good has had good sparring for this fight and is fighting some guy who's fights have been mostly in Europe. I cant remember the name but I think the last name is Krystoff? Not sure on the spelling but he is supposed to have a decent record.
Got my ringsides and if anyone is near enough to the Avalon Hotel in Erie PA? On april 6th at 2 pm should be a decent card. Ringsides at $60 a pop. Supposedly Yusef Mack will be on the card as well. Looking forward to a good day:good

With all due respect, I just don't see how you could have Ouma winning that fight. He really didn't do anything all night. K9's roughhouse tactics, hate them as much as I do, took Ouma right out of the fight. If we're being fair to both fighters, if K9 doesn't get cut by a little Ouma head action, he wins easily. The only rounds he lost decisively were largely because he was so distracted by the cut. I'm an Ouma fan, but that performance was awful.

Really? See, I was on the complete different end of the spectrum. I saw Ouma fight Taylor and then lose to Roman, and thought, this guy is done. And while K9 is nothing special, I figured he would be able to frustrate Ouma with his usual tactics. I didn't think there was any way the odds on this fight should have been what they were.

Too many WARS. Those wear in time and thats exactly what you saw in his performance tonight. Many tried to talk him up in his Taylor performance but while he showed heart? He took another beating.

Jiles has been sparring with Spat and is decent. He needs to be more cognizant of his D and both guy's showed spirit. I'm a tad disappointed that Jiles dint use his range more. would have been easier and netted a W instead of a Draw.
Credit his opponent who's lesser skill was supplanted by bigger heart and will.

Ouma is in a strange situation. I don't think he's shot, he just seems to have lost all of the motivation and passion he had for boxing. He lost the drive he had and it's sad to see him putting up such a bad performance on an ESPN main event. He should either focus on boxing 100% or retire. A few years ago he would have blew Bundrage out. Today, he came in like he didn't care about winning and only showed that old Ouma energy in very short spurts.

This was the best fight on the card and both fighters may go on to better things. Ouma was very disappointing and Bundrage was quite limited although did start to jab and move to wards the end and it seemed as if Ouma just resigned himself to a lacklustre points defeat. When the decision was being announced he didnt even seem bothered.

Ouma is done. First he's losing to no names on Telemundo, now he's losing to a guy who just got knocked out by Joel Julio. This guy once beat Sechew Powell. It's been downhill since then.
