NO. He was getting his ass handed to him, and he caught Hernandez with a great shot. Doesn't do anything for those guys.

Hernandez was just too unexpirienced and he didn't have enough respect for Braithweights right hand - but Braithweight can punch:bbb

The fact that enzo battered wayne and he has just beaten another top ten fighter shows wayne wasn't shot and also that haye is a hell of alot better than the rest of the crusierweights.

No, it just shows Hernandez perhaps doesn't take the best punch. Hernandez got carelss, after having Braithwaite down in the 1st round.

Hernandez was/is a prospect, not a top 10 CW. On top of that, Hernandez was dominating Braithwaite and appeared to be on the verge of stopping, however Braithwaite caught with him a great temple shot and that was it.
Of course Haye is the top CW, no argument there (I like Haye, he's an exciting fighter), but this win doesn't do much for him.
Based on what I saw, in terms of boxing ability I would pick Hernandez over Braithwaithe in a rematch and Hernandez over Enzo too, though Haye would be too much for him at this point.

This post is the truth.:good
Hernandes is for real - but he got caught with a lucky punch and he also looked too hesitant to KO Wayne.

Hernandez Top 10'???
He's number 11 on box rec, 12 ibf, number 13 wbc so he is pretty much top ten

In some ways it reminded me of Haye-Thompson. The younger, faster, more talended fighter inexperience shows against the old vet who comes back to put him on his ass. I think Big Truck is more like Old Truck these days, he took a beating against Macca and looked pretty shot only his heart got him to the final bell. The same thing he showed in this fight, and the punch is the last thing to go.

He was completely untested in the pro ranks. Top prospect yes, "top ten" no.

So those rankings don't put him around the top ten:roll:

You do know that 11, 12 and 13 are higher than 10 yeah?;)

OK, so he didn't beat an untested prospect, he beat an "around Top Ten" fighter

Macarenelli ain't bad. I seen Enzo vs Haye as 50/50, I was convinced whoever lands first wins!Niether could take a good shot from the other, that turned out to be true.

That didnt turn out to be true, half of it turned out to be true. Whether Haye could take Maccarinelli's best shots was not tested during the fight.
My view before the fight was that Maccarinelli could not afford to take shots from Haye, but that Enzo didnt have anything that Haye hadnt see before.
The 'whoever lands first' thing was never likely, it was always 'whenever Haye first lands'.

Wayne is durable and has a good punch.... Haye would probably stop braithwaite... but if they fight, it might turn out like haye/mormeck...

Nonsense. Hernandez is already a lot better than Braithwaite. After first 2 rounds he probably thought Wayne was completely harmless. Lack of experience made him lose the fight. Braithwaite is past it.
Cruiserweights punch hard and one punch is enough to turn the fight around. I think Adamek - Bell will look pretty much the same. Adamek will be beating Bell until the moment he feels too comfortable and goes for knockout. Then Bell lands a big right hand and its over.

Couple of years ago Braithwaite was the man at cruiser and a real up and comer before Mormeck wrecked him.
Im actually a little suprised Macca handled him that well.
If he can do anything well its punch.

That was such an entertaining fight, I couldn't believe it when he came back to KO Hernandez, It was amazing.
I was shoked at how easily he koed hernandez, he hit him with some cracking shots.
I was shoked to see how easily Hernandez schooled Braitwaithe in the very first round of their encouter almost putting him out of action then.
Braithwaithe is a teak tough cookie. No doubt about it! However, the young and inexperienced Cuban must blame himself for throwing the victory out of the window into the street.
His coach implored him not to underestimate the tough vet and not to get cocky and neglect his defence. Hernandez didnt listen to his coach and paid the price in round 3.
Hernandez still has to learn one or two things, but the talent and the skills are there.Every dog has its day! Braithwaithe was the lucky winner against a dumb greenhorn.
I for my part would bet my money on the Cuban in a rematch.Though Braitwaithe has a puncher's chance.Thats for sure.
And by the way it was Hernandez ' s 15 pro fight. Macca had already had quite a few fights more before he faced Braithwaithe in the ring, hadnt he?
Right now I would also put my money on Macca to beat Hernandez, but if they met each other in about 2 years I for sure wouldnt bet on the Brit anymore.

He was absolutely all over him in that first round and you can see even towards the end of the rd he just went all relaxed and his body language said to me he thought he had already won the fight. And that cost him.
He will be back, he is a very impressive fighter otherwise. But how about the ref helping him to his feet after that KD? I mean the ref was struggling to hold him up because Hernandez was wobbling back to the mat. That was another black eye for German boxing. Which is a shame because I think it had more to do with the ref's incompetance and perhaps the fact he was a fellow latino than any local influence but the fact it happened in germany doesnt look good.

Good point,mate!
The ref' s role was a bit dubious.Must have been a latino connection:D

That's not really true, Yes he was getting beaten around the place in the 1st but even the knockdown wasn't very heavy. In the 2nd Hernandez started to fade and from then it was a matter of time. He has lovely skills but you have to be impressed with how Braithwaite soaked it up and came back at him.
