Tyson in his prime was just great. The uppercut is one of the hardest and most risky shots and Mike was amazing throwing it.

against Alicea he knocked him out with a huge uppercut/straight/uppercut combo...it was nasty. Alicea's big ass just fell like a brick.

Lets define an uppercut, or better yet a punch. Calzaghe does neither. You have to connect with knuckle that connects your fingers to your hand not the inside of your glove. That is a bitch punch or a slap. Calzaghe throws side armed faggy punches. Oh and Mike Tyson all time, he threw them lightning fast in in combinations. Zab now, b/c he does the mike shuffle and can counter or lead with his left uppercut b/c he is so damned fast. You may hate Zab but I love his offense.

This comment is taking some stick but I know the shot I think you're talking about. Calzaghe used to feint a hook before delivering an uppercut all in one movement. Was a hell off a shot but he hasn't used it for some time beacuase of his dodgy hand. Remember he finished Sobot I think it was with that shot in the early days. Currently there is no one better than JMM. If you want to watch the best display of uppercut combination watch the fight with Jandaeng. He would start combinations with uppercuts from the outside and throw them all over his face and body. That is probably one of my favorite fights to watch.
He did not use the uppercut as much as he should have with Pac. I think he should have. If a left hook hurt Pac that much in the 2nd round then a perfectly timed uppercut would have had him on his ass.

Honorable mention. A great fight involving alot of uppercuts was Gatti-Ruelas. It seemed like thats all they threw all fight long. And it looked brutal whenever they landed.
