MADISON SQUARE GARDEN!!!!
When I'm world champion, I'd definitely have a fight or three there.
YEAH!!!

what about opening the new yankee stadium in march?
or the old stadium's final fight?
i think they can sell the joint out. specially if they have paulie vs zab on the undercard

would it sell a 20,000 stadium in the US?

Easily. But as you know there is alot more to consider than arena size. Vegas casinos would put up a big site fee and I don't think that would be easy to top with the money both guys deserve to get paid it makes sense to have the fight in vegas

I think in order to pull something like this off they would have to market really really well and really stack the undercard. They'd have to try to touch non boxing fans by giving them the chance to attend the last event ever at Yankees stadium. As many fans as Cotto has in NY I still can't imagine that he would sell out Yankees Stadium which if memory serves me correctly seats almost 90,000 for a boxing match.
it'd be easier to just get a vegas casino to put up a big site fee.

Mandalay Bay ... Floyd is the champ and Cotto will have to fight Floyd on his turf.
I doubt that Cotto can bring 10,000 Puerto Ricans ... He doesn't have much big of a fan base outside of NY and PR ...
On the west coast Cotto would be at a terrible disadvantage ...

Fight should be held in Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan with a small ring, Puerto Rican ref and judges.

I voted MSG, but the Yankee Stadium idea would be awesome as a farewell recognition of the fine stadium.
Stack the undercard too obviously.
Zab vs Paulie could be cool.
Also im sure Bob Arum could get his new Irishman on it as well to help get a few extra thru the gate.
