cos i don't.

he was beaten so easily in the first fight.

kermit looked like guff last time out.

cintron can't box and move and stay elusive.

or throw shitloads of punches and outwork a worker like margarito.

margarito in 7 rds. :bbb

Honestly I think he wasn't ready the first fight. But don't get me wrong it may not mean anything, because of Margo's work rate. But I believe Cintron will do better if he listens to Steward advice and don't put his hands low. I want Cintron to win, but Margo should pull it of again, by a close decison. But Cintron does have pop

I'm taking Margarito again, somewhere between 8 and 12. I'm not convinced that Cintron can deal with pressure and somebody with greater mental strength than himself.

I will be surprised if Cintron wins.

And if Margarito wins, we will have the PBF-Margo wars again.

We'd still need Margarito to get past Cotto before thinking of Margarito - Mayweather. Then and only then would Margarito - Mayweather be the most relevent fight @ WW. Of course a couple big wins for Mosley, starting with Zab and then picking up Quintana's belt would keep him in the mix as well. Either way we already know Floyd will likely never face Margarito. Floyd's made that obvious.

if Cintron put a great performance and KO margarito, do you think that Cintron can be a big name in the 147? I could see him go to the 154 someday
yes

I think Marg will win but i don't think the odds are reflective of how close this fight could be.

we'll find out soon though :happy good fight!

cintron has some pop but he wouldnt be able to knock margarito out IMO also cintron chin isnt steel and margarito is not a power puncher but he has decent power and an incredible will combined with a high workrate which for me that combination for any fighter in the world means trouble.

Cintron could win this - he seems to have improved, while Margarito may have lost a step. That said, I think Margo takes it on a late TKO.

Im very sure Magarito takes this again.

But I cant help but think that if Cintron lands a combo like he did against Mathysse, that even Magarito could get wiped out.

Should be a better fight than last time but my money is on tony.

If Cintron puts on a great performance and KO's Margarito, it would do a lot for the public's image of him. Since he's a KO or get KO'd kind of guy, people would demand fights against Cotto, Quintana, and Mayweather.

A power puncher always generates interest.

He can move up to 154 eventually. He's got the width and the frame to do so.

I'm leaning towards this also, even though it pains me to think that Margarito will be a champion again. However I do think Cintron has a very realistic chance of winning and I wouldn't be surprised if he won a close decision against Margarito or even knocked him out. I would be very surprised if Margarito beats him as easily as he did the first time.

I believe Margarito not only beats Cintron again but he will upset the world of boxing by defeating Cotto right after !!

I think the only way cintron wins is by KO. Marg's will is just too strong to let cintron ooze away with a decision.

if cintron winss he should fight the the winner of quintana-williams II or the winner of judah-mosley

One thing is for sure, Cintron cant fight inside. From the outside though, he has the advantage.

I know alot of you guys get on Steward for teaching his fighters to tie up on the inside, well, expect a whole new level of this for this fight.

Its Cintron's only hope.

Yep. Margarito will outwork him and most likely stop him, so realistically I would be surprised to see Cintron win as I believe his only shot is a KO or TKO on cuts.

If Margarito beats Cintron (something he's already done), people will say that Floyd is ducking him.

In terms of Margario vs. Cintron, either guy could win this. Margarito has to go in as the favourite.

Margarito. Cintron hasn't really improved that much.

Margarito will most likely win by TKO or KO. He can beat Cotto and did best Williams, but the judges cheated him. Notice Williams did not want a rematch, yet Williams gets a rematch with Quintana. Judges I do not trust.

I do not understand the obsession with Margarito here he is a class B fighter. He is not crap.

Margo will win again, he's got the stronger chin and Mental strength, that Kermit lacks the only ? is can Cintron make it to the final bell?? i think Margo stops him late or wins a comfortable UD..

I think Cintron can win, but I don't think he will. Margarito is a good fighter and handled Cintron pretty easily the first time again, but Cintron has improved since then and I do expect the fight to be a little closer, but Cintron is coming off of a fight in which he was almost beat by a journeyman (no disrespect intended to Felicano) so I will say Margarito by late stoppage.

Like i've been saying all along Cintron has no heart or mental toughness. All he does is depend on knocking his opponent out and when he cant knock his opponent out he's like a fish out of water! Margarito will stop him again that's for sure.. I'd seriously be shocked if he beat Margarito.. And trust me i dont think much of Margarito! But i think even less of Cintron.

That would be an excellent bet - on Cintron. Margarito is out there to prove something and partially thinking about his next fight - he is said to start slow and would want to jump right in like he did against Golden Johnson... Kermit has that left hook which seems to be the right weapon to produce results ( Kermit Cintron devastatating Walter Matthysse in the 2nd, Joshua Clottey nailing Tony several times in the first four) and the fight can end very soon. Not a bad thought - betting on the upset - I am gonna re-think about this...

I don't buy steward and all his shit talks about cintron not being the same, has improvement. Cintron hasn't done shit to prove himself yet. I would be voting for margo KO/TKO somewhere halfway through the fight

I spoke to Teddy Atlas recently and he likes Cintron to win.
I expect a great fight.
If Teddy Atlas backs Cintron, then Margarito is gonna surely win this by KO.:deal

The Atlas effect.:yep

Every since the fight was made, I had the funniest feeling in my gut that Cintron was for once, gonna put it all together and shock the world by knocking Marg the fuck out. That feeling just exited my gut upon reading the prediction by Theodore Atlas.

 Exactly. Atlas co-signing a fighter is like a kiss of death.

there is sumthin here that is very sneaky about this fight! cintron is crazy confident about this fight and so is steward i think there is something to this, he has been in the ring with margarito before there must be something he saw that he feels he can take advantage of! cintron early K.O. WOW did i just predict that? its ok i stand by my pick.

Cintron by KO at or around the 10th.

Cintron has the tools but didn't use them properly in the first fight. Steward loves these long guy that can do well using his strategies (jabbing to force the distance and clinching if the get in close), and Cintron fits the mold perfectly. Margarito had trouble getting around Paul Williams' weak jab and Cintron has developed a very nice jab of his own. Margarito is very open and has very little head movement. Although he's tough as hell, he'll eventually crack from Cintron's power.

My money is on Cintron.

A very interesting fight. If Cintron can get his jab working I think he will stop Margo late in the fight as well.He has all the tools,it's just a matter of whether or not Kermit will use them.

None of them have impressed me enough to be compared to Cotto or Floyd. But it will be interesting to watch. Cintron is out for revenge. And Margarito knows his carreer depends on this fight. I am sure they are going to be in top shape for this one. Could be the best fight of the night

No retraction here, I picked Kermit to pull off a TKO if he keeps the fight at a distance.....if it goes to the scorecards or if the fight stays on the inside Margo will win once again. But for now Kermy via TKO.

I'm with you, Brother. Its gonna be a great fight (waiting anxiously to hear if we're getting tickets for this event) & it will be a fun night in AC, if we go. Margarito looked slow as hell vs Paul Williams. Cintron has looked pretty spectacular with this string of KO's he's run off. The guy wants revenge & I simply think he'll get it & add Margarito to his KO list.
