Is Golden Boy trying to make this happen.....what do u think are the obstacles from making this happen? Marquez wants the rematch w/ Pacman really bad but Pacman has decided that he wants to move to 135 and fight David Diaz....while Casamayor has stated he does not want a rematch w/ Campbell and is looking for a mega fight (he stated that he wanted Barrera or Pacman) but i think that best solution to all of these problems would be a fight b/w Marquez and Casamayor.....which would be an awsome build up to a rematch w/ the lightweight division title on the line............what do u think?

its a possibility but i guess JMM would only be willing to go up at 135lbs if he'll get to fight pacquiao. i don't think he's really interested to mix it up with the other lightweights at this point of his career

Not a good move for Marquez going into a higher division with little reward (money) both guys are counter puncher probably a boring fight.

imo, marquez can beat casa at this stage. it's a matter of willingness to go up and fight casa and casa fighting marquez.

yes! borig indeed but it should happen!
If you say little reward ..it reality he will only get mega bucks when he fights pac! :good Because he himself is not a crowd drawer that's why he is not handsomely paid like pac!
if he is a crowd drawer = more cash rewards!
not a crowd drawer = less cash rewards!
Boxing is sport and business indeed!

For some reason my first thoughts were of Rafa.. :patsch :scaredas:
Assuming you mean the other Marq, this would be an incredible and exciting tactical battle.

if marquez is willing to fight casamayor and get off pac's ass for a while.. but i doubt he will.. marquez probably will only move up to 135 just to fight pac.. so if anything, he should go for guzman or valero.. i just dont see this fight happening.. casamayor and juan diaz is in the works, and casa has already mentioned he would like to fight pac.. nobody cares to fight marquez and marquez cares to fight nobody except pac.. but yeah, if he could get a match against casa or maybe even someone else in the lightweight division, then it would help his chances a lot in getting a rematch...

why not..jmm can win against casa, and both guys are from the same promotional company. In fact theres a lot of guys for JMM at lightweight because GBP handles most of them

How come nobody wants a piece of JMM? Why is he left out?
High risk + low reward . Had it been high risk + high reward it could have been a different story..
Had the promoter guarentee 3M$ or higher to fight JMM it would have been probably a different story..
He will be like pac..there will be line of boxers who wants a shot at him
tsk! tsk! reality bites!

then let him move up and start boxing.. dont really care what he does.. just fight someone worthy and wait for a rematch..

I'd like to see this match happen. Two of the finest technicians in the game today going at it. It might not be a fight of the year candidate but I think it would be decent fight. Marquez would beat Casamayor at this point. Doubt this comes off, probably see Casamayor-Diaz first.
This would be a great idea on JMM's part. He'd keep the pressure on Pacquaio for another fight and if Marquez was the 135 pound champ that would make the fight that much more attractive.
