watching casamayor get in katsidis' face the instant katsidis was in the ring reminded me of how intense and exciting the pre-fight introductions can be... what are some great ones? the pointer sisters singing the national anthem prior to leonard-hearns 2 still sends chills up my spine, with leonard shadowboxing next to hearns who is standing still as a statue, his eyes closed, manny steward's hand on his shoulder... beautiful

I just looked this up on youtube. Jesus, I didn't realize Tommy was only 22 at the time of this fight! He was so mature for that age, wow.

Recenty Haye-Macca is an excellent intro.

Both contrasting styles, Haye looking cool and relaxed while Macca pretty much sprints into the ring. Both had excellent songs too.

Recently Campbell-Diaz Campbell came into the ring with a matador outfit and he taunted and tried to intimadate Diaz during the staredown...good stuff.

Donovan Razor Ruddock vs Michael Dynamite Dokes MSG, NYC - chilling stuff while Arthur Mercante Jr was giving final instructions. Mike Tyson's rushing into the ring at the sound of metallic drums at the Trump Plaza for Michael Spinks. But I have to agree that Katsidis entrance was that impressive with the guy looking on to see where was Joel at long before entering the ring... Man, I would pay anything to see Katsidis get it on with Hatton - two real throwback gladiators these are, Hatton and Katsidis.

I found the whole intro for Hopkins Trinidad very intense & emotional. It was just after 9/11 & that cop sang the national anthem. Brilliant.

That was sensational because it was the MW Series final, just after 9/11 2001 and the crowd was very emotional in MSG, NYC. Tito entering ( and dancing to the crowd in very entertaining fashion) with his PR colours and a NYPD hat and Felix Sr with a Firemen Dept hat, Hopkins with a beautiful red mask, the colours of the US and to Ray Charles' "America the beautiful" ( once sang by Ray for Duran-Leonard II). Cold blooded Bernard facing the hostile crowd for several seconds and for having tossed the PR flag in the presser.

The Puerto Rico national anthem was very well interpreted by that vocal group Alpha and the Star Spangled Banner by a NY Police Officer Danny Rodriguez... Of course, Calzaghe's and Kessler's entrances were also sensational in the magnificent Millennium Stadium.

In particular, I did enjoy Bernard's entrance for the first Jermain Taylor fight in July 2005 in the MGM Grand... Just that I still can't make which was that sensational Hip Hop beat for his entrance(?)

The ring walks are hilarious pieces of hard-shit work. I actually laughed so hard at the unintentional goofiness I was amazed I had the energy to watch the actual fight. Then the announcement of the decision was another matter. It seemed all the self-important officials of the land were there for a never-ending photo-opp. :rofl

Pryor/Arguello. Aaron Pryor facing off before this fight was intense and the warfare that followed in the next 14 rounds was awesome!
