Wlad/Lewis/Zab have "shaky" chins, not CHINA chins. Had they a chin like Khan, they'd have been KTFO by every top level fighter they faced.

The list goes:

Titanium
Cast Iron
Iron
Good
Average
Shaky
Glass
Grade A China

Khan is "Grade A China", Zab is "shaky". Big difference. A shaky chin can work with a proper defence, but not a Grade A China chin.

Wlad/Lewis/Zab have "shaky" chins, not CHINA chins. Had they a chin like Khan, they'd have been KTFO by every top level fighter they faced.

The list goes:

Titanium
Cast Iron
Iron
Good
Average
Shaky

Grade A China

Khan is "Grade A China", Zab is "shaky". Big difference. A shaky chin can work with a proper defence, but not a Grade A China chin.

So for example-

lol loads of fighters have been KD'd early in their career and gone on to show they have excellent chins. I thought Limond had alot more pop in his punch than usual as well, Khan needs to seriously keep that left hand higher though if hes going to ever be a world champion.

Those who don't believe Khans chin is poor if not glass need to be reminded he was almost KO'ed by a guy who has only 8KO's in 30 fights. It's one thing to be almost KO'ed by a puncher but a puncher like Limond who lacks any kind of real power is a sure sign that Khan is going to have to get used to picking himself up off the canvas if he doesn't make some changes in his style when he steps up again in class.

I still have hopes for Khan but he is going to have to make some drastic changes if he is to achieve his full potential.

True, but remember.. Judah got knocked down by Spinks who has 11 KOs in 40 fights, and he has competed at the highest level. Infact, with a better mental state of mind he might actually be an ATG. Im not denying the fact that Khan has a suspect chin, but fighters with bad chins have gone onto have successful careers, dont give up all hope on Khan.Not many with Khan's lack of head movement have ever achived much without a chin. The warning sign were there in the Drilzane and Komjathi, both actually fought back to an extent and could tag Khan. If fighters like that can land on him, he should retire.

Not many with Khan's lack of head movement have ever achived much without a chin. The warning sign were there in the Drilzane and Komjathi, both actually fought back to an extent and could tag Khan. If fighters like that can land on him, he should retire.

Hes still only 20 mate, im sure head movement is something which he will work on for his next fight. The chin is the only issue that cant be solved with a bit of work in the gym, but he can take measures to protect that.

Khan is a very skilful young boxer and I think he is far from finished.The "wonder kid" bubble has burst and my suspicions about his inability to cope with pressure have not gone away. Careful matching while he works on his defence will help but the simple truth is Khan is sparkled too easily and this will in time slow him down. I have now seen him recover well from being sparkled both as an amateur and as a pro. This shows him to have a lot of heart and good survival instincts. However the fact that he has to show these qualities so early in his career will be worrying for his team. Khan’s team, along with the bookies expected this bout to be a whole lot easier than it turned out. To Khan’s credit he weathered the storm and threw everything he had into rounds 7 & 8, I believe burning himself out in the process. On the night it worked, but it could so easily have gone wrong.

The problem his team have now is that having taken a risk that came close to backfiring Khan will be seen by rivals as ripe fruit ready for the taking. If He relinquishes the Commonwealth title his image would be further tarnished, but can they risk him in a defence against a mandatory challenger who is a big hitter? What if Alex Arthur moves up to lightweight? I do not see Khan’s team accepting a title challenge from him. I think there will be a touch of the PBF in his future career, where good inside fighters and big hitters will be ducked.

p.s.Quite liked the shorts.

I am talking of RANKED fighters Achilles. Khan's not compared to the average low level fighter is he?

He's compared to being a future World Class fighter for Britains gain, where as his chin is not much better than most of the lower level fighters.

Harrison took a punch that puts many people out, period. Williams can PUNCH!

Harrison was hardly being shook by them.

Did you not see what Williams did to Tyson? or to Meehan? or to Sprott? Williams can PUNCH!

Sprott isn't a huge puncher but what he landed was devastating.

Harrison is not the pit of all chins. He doesn't have a great chin but he hardly has a journeyman chin that gets put out for 10 in every fight.

Whilst Fraudleys chin wouldn't exactly make Ray Mercer sigh with envy,it was never the main reason he was such a shite fighter. khans marketability has gone up especially with the casual boxing fan.Yeah he got decked but came back to finish his opponent in the next round.I still rate him highly. Limond is probably just below european level and is no mug by a long shot. That bit of vunerability makes a fighter more exciting.
