He has waisted a lot of his prime time waiting on Oleg, & now he is waiting on a fantasy fight with Vit Clit which will be scheduled for October-November at the earliest, but never happen.
Vit Clit has not fought in 4 years. Has cancelled 4 ( I believe) title fights & is running for Mayor. WTF???
Sam sure as hell is not going to be running for office, has obvious conditioning problems which year long layoffs will not help, & needs to make his mark now or never.
What are your thoughts on what he should do....
WHO NEX???

i expect vitali to drag this shit through the year again with peter ending up fighting some don king tub late in the year. but i suspect peter has already begun his typical vegas training, consisting of chasing the ice cream truck down the strip and late night buffet binges :yep

No, he's like a poor-man's Ray Mercer.
Tua was a shorter fighter who relyed on getting inside to do damage. Peter can't fight well on the inside and lacks the ability to throw short punches in close. He's more of a mid-range boxer puncher who uses his jab to set up his power punches.
Tua has the advantages in durability, chin, power, defense, punching technique, and footwork. He was a damn good fighter in his prime. Can't say the same thing about Peter, although maybe he can surprise me and do something of major significance.

He hasn't waisted too much prime. He just needs to get better It benefits Peter to spend more time in the gym before he fights Vitali he needs to get better.

Yea but Tua never outboxed a fighter as good as James Toney. Look at how Chris Byrd schooled him.
Are we talking fat out of shape out of prime Toney?
The one Hasim Rahman beat? (Don't give me that draw BS)
Peter looked like a dented keg after that beat down Wlad gave him.

I guess there is some similarities between them, heavy hands, good chins, can lay you out with one shot. I would say Tua was more skilled and probably a better overall fighter than Samuel, but to Peter's credit, he did win a belt, and has shown he has heart, Tua melted mentally when it came time to prove himself on the big stage, Bryd, Lewis, Rahman(draw), the only good wins he ever had were against Ruiz and a washed up Moorer. Peters resume is already better than Tua's, he isnt even half way done at 27.
Peter is not the most talented fighter out there, but he is tough and does have knockout power, which is enough to give anyone in the current division a tough fight, win or lose.

If Tua were still alive he would destroy Peter.

He hasn't waisted too much prime. .
If Peter is really 37, as Briggs claims, he certainly HAS wasted alot of his prime.

A prime Tua would probably beat Peter, but a prime Tua never accomplished what Peter already has, winning a title on the big stage. I think Tua has every advantage over Peter, aside from the heart factor, Tua practically gave up against both Bryd and Lewis when was getting his ass beat, as much as most people hate Peter, you can never say he gave up or didnt put up a tough competitive fight with anyone he fought, he was alot of flaws, but his power, chin, heart, and overall toughness earned him the number 2 spot in the division, so everytime you want to make fun of Peter, you should also make fun of the Heavyweight division while your at it.

Punisher, I agree. Your last two posts were excellent descriptions of Peter. He certainly has his flaws, but he has heart and power, which is more than you can say about a lot heavyweights today. I am always surprised by the amount of hate directed at him.

He's one of the most hated fighters out there.
But regardless, he continues to win, got off the floor 3 times, and is willing to fight anybody. I'd say he's a credit to the heavyweight division. If people are going to pick apart his flaws, then they might as well pick apart 95 percent of the heavyweight division.
