Bernard Hopkins impressed, not only with his mouth, but with his superb conditioning during Thursday's open workout at the Classic Kickboxing Gym in Old Town Pasadena, California. Hopkins is in final preparation for his mega bout against the undefeated and undisputed Super Middleweight champion, Joe Calzaghe. Hopkins had a lot to say but pointed out that he is 12-0 against southpaw fighters, including in his last two victories over the very capable Ronald "Winky" Wright and Antonio Tarver. Hopkins joked that his nickname would soon have to be changed from "The Executioner" to the "Southpaw Assassin" once he beats the left handed Calzaghe. The fight will be taking place at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas and will be Calzaghe's first fight in the light heavyweight division, as well as his first fight outside of Europe. The protected, untested Calzaghe is expected to get his ass schooled and die by KO late. All of his jock sniffing fans are invited to jump off the top of the Thomas & Mack Center directly after the fight to the cheers of boxing fans worldwide.

I love the Hopkins im unbeaten against Southpaws line.

Considering hes taking on a guy who is unbeaten full stop.

Then again they will strike back with but hes fought nothing but Euro bums.

Even though if they actually cared to objectively compare their two resumes, they would find they have fought a wholly similar level of competition with Hopkins having a very slight edge.

The key distinction is however, that Calzaghe has won every fight whilst Hopkins has lost to the two best fighters he faced at 160.
