Some great choices. No Roy Jones, or do my yes decieve me?!
Anyway:
1 - Charley Burley v Oakland Billy Smith
It seems this is the only exsisting footage of Burley. Fast, fast, fast, perfect balance, good feet. But what impresses me most is that he's basically a welter, and he's in with a light-heavy, who was regarded as a real banger, and Burley looks like the puncher in the fight. Lazer guided. Monster.
2 - Juan Manuel Marquez v Manny Pacquiao I
I love it! A modern masterpiece, two world class fighters and as dramatic a first round as exsists in boxing, and the guy who geats smashed up comes back for the draw. I never get sick of it. And it's easy on my eye, because I, too, scored it a draw.
3 - George Foreman v Muhammad Ali
I'm not a big fan of Ali, but this one is undeniable. Is it the best "across the board" fight plan ever concucted? Probably not, but it must be the best ever execution. "...he's got him! He's got him! And I don't think Foreman's going to get up! Oh my God, he's won the title back at thirty-two.
4 - Muhammad Ali v Joe Frazier
No two men ever gave more. I wish Joe had won one.
5 - Joe Louis v Max Baer.
Machine.

Kostya Tszyu v Zab Judah, Roy Jones Jr v James Toney, Floyd Mayweather Jr v Phillip Ndou, Miguel Cotto v Shane Mosley, Chad Dawson v Tomasz Adamek.... Not necessarily my TOP 5 fights, but probably the 5 fights i have watched the most. Top 5 fights would be competely different actually.

Man ... Pavlik showed his beard in that fight ...
He also did a good job of pressing the issue ... That fight along w/ the two Taylor fights really made me believe that he's wasn't going to lose anytime soon especially at 160.
The first Taylor fight showed me that he wasn't scared and that he could beat a champion ... The second fight showed that he could go the distance ...
No one gave him a chance against Miranda and he showed the world that he had a chin and had massive power.

1 Marciano Walcott I, great come from behide, Also Rocky was getting the bejesus beating out of him in rounds 1, 8, 11, and other rounds of couse. Walcott also had his bad rounds, rounds 3 and rounds ten were indeed Marciano. But behind on the cards, Rocky battles blindness, cuts, and comes back to win.
2 Gans Nelson 1906, 40 something rounds of action, One of the best stimia fights as the amazing Gans out lasts Nelson in one of the greatness bouts ever, the heat must of been harsh.
3 Ali Fraizer I, FOTC, amazing battle, it was Fraizer's night.
4, Corbett Fitz, the first championship fight ever film. Again Fitz was behide, and he came back to ko Corbett with a amazing shot to the belly.
5, Basilio vs Demarco II, this one is for the ages, Basilio gets hurt, and reeling early in the fight, only to come back and battle Demarco. Lots of back and forth action. Just amazing.
There are others also. But this are the ones mostly in the DVD player when I watch it.

1. Barrera vs. Morales I: Two of the top Mexican fighters of our era going tit for tat for 12 rounds, demonstrating the things Mexican fighters are known for: resilience, heart, and balls.
2. Castillo vs. Corrales I: Watching the late Corrales give up his height and fight Castillo's fight only to get knocked down twice and then come back from the brink of defeat to stop his nemesis in this give and take battle keeps me in awe every time.
3. Pacquiao - Marquez I: JMM comes back from being knocked down three times in the first round to outbox Pacquiao and give a good account for himself. A draw was probably the most honest verdict for that fight
4. PBF vs. Gatti: As much as I love Gatti, he was simply outclassed by an elite fighter in this fight. PBF showed why he is the number 1 p4p fighter in the world in this fight.
5. Pavlik vs. Taylor I: This fight gave the man who derailed the Miranda train the MW belt and kept his KO streak going. Also, Taylor showed up hungrier for this fight than he had in a long time.

1.Pavlik vs. Miranda - I was out of boxing for about a year and a half and this one got me back into it like I never was before. I watched Pavlik's 1st fight and a few others before I stopped then I saw this on TV and I was right back into it.
2.Calzaghe vs. Lacy - Beautiful example of how to out box someone who's going to try to knock you out with every punch, and I love that Lacy was favored and got that beat.
3.Pavlik vs. Taylor - Just a great overall fight, and the fact that it was for the undisputed middleweight championship of the world helps.
4.Barrera vs. Hamed - I love to see that arrogant little homo get put in his place by a true legend and an amazing textbook boxer.
5.Gatti vs. Ward - I could not believe what these 2 guys put into this fight, the fact that I saw it live really made me like it alot more because I remember sitting there having no idea which one would crumble first and neither did.
And even though I've watched RJJ more then any fighter easily there's no perticular fight I watch over and over.

Barrera-Morales 1 - Do i really need to explain this one???
Pac-Morales 1 - A true warrior going all out against the unstoppable force at the time.
JMM-Jandaeng - Probably the best uppercut combinations ever displayed. They came from outside inside. Everywhere. What a beating that was.
JMM-Pac 2 - Big upset even if the fight went as expected. So much for an improved Pac beating an old JMM.
Cotto-Mosley - Im a big fan of Cotto yet i really doubted him in this fight and chose Mosley to win it. I love when im proved wrong like this!

The top 5 Fights I've seen...
1) SRL-Duran II: Good competitive fight for the first six rounds, then Leonard starts to frustrate him with his showboating in the 7th. I've probably seen that seventh round alone like 20+ times.
2) SRL-Hagler: Another great close fight. Had to watch many times because I had friends who argued Hagler won the fight. Had to keep rewatching it, but still score it 115-113 Leonard.
3) Ali-Foreman: ALI BOUMAYE!!!!!
4) Hearns-Hagler: No superfight has ever exceeded its own expectations as much as this in my opinion. Damn, why did Hearns get baited into brawling with Hagler? Hearns was the man!
5) Mayweather-Corrales: Mayweather's standout performance in his apparently finished role as an "active fighter". I could have had Clay-Liston or Rumble in the Jungle here, but I think as far as actually views, I've probably seen this fight only like one more time than the other two. It will be a differnet story next time I catch ESPN classic.

This is EIGHT you imbecile. You are quite strict on this limit of 5.
Trilogies and two match sets can, in the opinion of some, be viewed as one extended fight between two boxers, interrupted by a few months/years.
Your admonishment of those with this opinion is almost Nazi-esque.
Where were you between 1939-1945 BTW?
in all honesty the fight ive probably seen the most is like... vargas vs chop chop in the amatures, or vs diaz in the amatures, and bojado vs some black guy, and cotto vs bazan. I used to fall asleep to a boxing video at night and those were the beginning fights on it.... lol... so probably seen them like 100 times, compared to the 40 or so times of vargas vs ike, tito, hoya

You are quite strict on this limit of 5.
The point is to tap into ESB's members to construct a list of fights they consider to be unmissable. 5 allows posters to address their favourite fighters, different types of fights, all time and onbscure with allowing their lists to become soft.
I am all for a top 8 - or 6 - and of course, people can post their top 213. But the more fights the softer the lists will tend to get. I stipulated in the title that I was after top 5's. I don't think it's unreasonable.
Trilogies and two match sets can, in the opinion of some, be viewed as one extended fight between two boxers, interrupted by a few months/years.
Well, those people are very stupid.
Your admonishment of those with this opinion is almost Nazi-esque.
I fail to see the connection.

Hagler Hearns
Hamed Kelley
Haye Mormek
Hamed Sanchez
Vazquez Marquez II
Mostly cause they are all short and I'm a bussy guy.

Klitschko-Mercer--awesome offensive boxing display by Wlad.
Gatti-Ward 1--unbelievable sustained action and courage by both.
Ali-Foreman--Ali outsmarts the young monster in his prime.
Leonard-Duran 1--two great athletes in their prime in back and forth battle.
Foreman-Lyle--nuff said.
