This. Floyd can be a pretty good pressure fighter when he wants to be.

As a FMJ fan I think this is a very tough close match up, Camacho probably has the advantages in speed/athleticism although Floyd was quicker back then too, Mayweather is the better technician, better defence but maybe wasn't as seasoned back at 130 (although neither was Camacho)

Mayweather is going to negate the more flash than substance that is Hector Camacho imo. That said, Floyd at 130 had a stronger flash to substance ratio than he does at this later point of his career. He's basically all substance today, except from when he throws combos and he looks like a lunatic throwing his arms around in a rage. I think Floyd's jab to the body and his ring generalship are gunna help him negate Camacho's rapid flurrying and one two's though. Mayweather for me.

Whilst Camacho would give him a lot of hassle early, I think Floyd could make the adjustment, to either make Camacho come to him and pot shot him, or to get in close and rough him up, either way he'd do the better work down the stretch.

Edit: Teeto, Floyds jab to the body is one of his best weapons IMO, and I definitely think he would start to control Camacho with this shot.

Floyd would take it in a competitive fight, for me. He simply had more tools to deal with the talented but limited offense Camacho would offer such an athletically gifted technical counter-puncher like Floyd.

Mayweather is a better counterpuncher. Not as fast, but he would walk Camacho down and beat him spots. Floyd has shown the ability to nullify speed pretty well.

I agree that Mayweather is better skilled all-around, but facing an opponent with equal or greater speed could be difficult for him. Camacho also packed a better punch at 130 than at higher weights, where he pretty much settled to the role of a defensive spoiler.
