It's sad watching old warriors being beat by comp they would have dominated years past. Gatti no matter what happens from the 6th round on should retire after this fight.

Gatti got KO'ed.
Contender ain't so much of a joke anymore is it.. A supposed soft puncher in Gomez managed to get Gatti out there as quickly as Baldomir did.I don't know about the contender series, but Gomez beat up a very shop worn past it Gatti. Gatti should have never come back after PBF. He should have never come back after Baldy. Let's all hope Gatti retires for good. He is going probably have some sort of damage, he doesn't need anymore.

It's over for Gatti. How many beatings does he has to take to recognize that. This was worse than the Baldo fight. Arturo wasnt even competitive for most of this one. Chavez jr better look for another opponent for that November date. From now on Gatti will be a ring tragedy waiting to happen if he insistson going on..

i honestly cant believe how bad he looked. it was almost surreal. what happened to the guy who fought leija and ward just a few years ago? he even looked fairly good against daamgard. please retire gatti, you've done enough for the sport and its time to rest.

You don't think 2006 Gatti was just as bad as 2007 Gatti? Gomez isn't great but he did thrash an identical version of Arturo every bit as bad as Tata.

I thought it was cool that despite clearly not being a very big supporter of Gatti's, Kellerman obviously appreciated the poignance of the moment and treated it with respect. Very classy.

Well he was punching versus Middleweights and Super Middleweights.
He's real weight is in the Light Welters and Welters

The kid is actually fairly talented. Not a world-beater, but solid. Better p4p than Manfredo, for sure.
Now, I know his stock isn't exactly going to soar after this, but that matchup with him and JCC Jr. does sound intriguing..:think

I think JC Chavez should just take Gomez' challenge and beat his ass back to ESPN fights. Still a step up for Chavez.
Gomez will stop Chavez Jr. if they fight in November

I'm actually really pumped about it the more I consider it. I think it might be too much too soon for JC, which just adds to the excitement.
