Who takes it?

I think Williams would win. It's tough to see PBF beating this guy. 6 ft 1 in tons of punches solid chin. PBF will avoid him like the plague.

Williams is Floyd's worst nightmare in my estimation - no way Floyd can box and pot shot against this beast with extra-terrestrial stamina and body type.

Well, i really dont know..But what is sure, Paul Williams would not gonna be able to hit Floyd easily like that and ALL the punch that Margo miss 'cause he was too slow, Floyd would throw them right in the money!

I don't think he'll connect on Floyd all that much either. But, when you consider that Williams averages over 100 punches per round and PBF is around 38, Williams might be able to take it based on workrate.

williams is very agressive for a tall man. good hand speed. got a high workrate and good stamina. plus hes southpaw. if mayweather is ever gonna lose, it could very well be to this guy

He could very well outwork Mayweather.

Williams is gonna be tough for anyone to deal with if he stays at 147.

williams would beat mayweather i think one of the 2 men that could the other beating mosley....but anyway williams would throw 2 much 2 often with descent speed and a good chin(not like he needs it for mayweather anyway) just his style is all wrong for pbf mayweather wouldnt be able to stay on the outside counter punching because he couldnt reach williams.......williams ud like 116-112 or something...........this coming from a big pbf fan too

Williams rather easily!!!!!!!!!

How much ya wanna bet Floyd would similarly turn down 8 million twice??:good

A 6'1" Southpaw, throwing 100 punches a round, and using a jab??
FLOYD's WORST NIGHT MARE, second to getting KTFO by Miguel Cotto:yep

You have no credibility here. You picked Oscar to beat PBF.:hi:

I think Paul makes too many mistakes for a great boxer like PBF and will lose. Paul is easy to find and PBF would work Paul's long body all night long.

Williams TKO 10

Mayweather dont want any.

alright, mayweather is too afraid to come in and do work, you floyd nutswingers think he would be able to counter? how? the fucking guy is way too tall for PBF. Floyds too cautious to have to come in all night to do any kind of work. Paul will keep him at bay with those long arms and jab his face away and then when floyd does come in.....hes gonna get uppercutted.

floyd would be fucked if they fought. but hes smart. he wont fight him. Paul not a big enough name yet and needs maybe 2 or 3 more fights to get that kind of exposure.....and by then....floyds gonna be singing retirement yet again.

He'll overcome with WORK RATE!!! Floyd isnt a power puncher(only so-so power, not bad and not good) Floyd is far too inactive in his defensive shell and the height/reach/volume/southpaw style of Williams would leave PBf on the wrong end of the UD, IMO:good

I don't know. Paul's work rate will drop some against PBF becuase of his movement and counter punching, how much we don't know. Despite being 6'1 Williams doesn't fight tall enough for my liking and this IMO would lead to his downfall against PBF. If he used his jab more and threw less meaningless shots I think he could put more power into his punches and he would have a better chance and make him a better fighter as well.

Used his jab more:huh He 'flips' it because it's quicker and able to be used more. Williams wont win by KO and doesnt have to.

PW will throw 100 a round, PBF will throw closer to 605 or 65 at best. And the hieght disparity will leave Floyd having a hard time reaching PW consistently and effectively:good

Let's hope our theories get tested in reality:yep

The only thing that is gonna stop Williams is the same thing that would stop Margarito. A bigger, harder hitting volume puncher.

Mayweather isn't that, so he won't beat him. Pretty simple. Paul is like Margarito only bigger and faster/sharper. If Floyd avoided Margarito it only makes sense he will avoid Williams.

It's a surprise that all Mayweather has accomplished over the years means nothing to alot of these posters on the forum, I hate the Mayweather haters, and I hate the Mayweather nuthuggers. Why can't you guy's call it like you see it. These are the same comments I heard when PBF went into the Coralles fight, being the bigger stronger guy with a high punch output, and PBF knocked him down five times.:verysad

couldn't have said it better myself !!!!!!!!!!!
paul did a good job. but it was just one night jesus let the man a few more fights before you crown him a atg!

Considering MW' spars with much bigger guys I don't see him having any problems with Williams ..And lets not use the Margarito fight as a measuring stick because Floyd is not as slow or as flat footed as Antonio !

Mayweather easily, wow what a bunch of idiots. You guys get so caught up in one performance. This fight would be similar to Floyd/N'Dou but would go to a decision. Williams doesn;t use his height and reach like he looks like he would. Floyd's quickness would lead to a lot of countering opportunities as Williams like to bang. Floyd no question.

Two things here.

1. Phillip Ndou was not a top shelf lightweight. He had a string of performances which would put him on a stage of someone like Walter Matthysse at welter. Relatively unknown and who really can say how good he is. Chances are he was just what Mathysse is now, very overrated.

2. Mayweather could actually reach Ndou. Paul Williams presents an entirely different problem. Not only is he huge compared to Mayweather but he throws twice as many punches. There is no upside here for Mayweather. He had very little against Margarito and none here.

He even said himself he knows he can't box with Mayweather. He's smart about it. He'll go in there throwing 100 punches a round and completely negate Mayweather's defense.

Kinda like Corrales huh? Mayweather would've whooped Margarito's ass badly as well, what the hell are you even talking about? And N'Dou was much taller than Mayweather as well. Floyd could easily reach Williams, you're being ridiculous. He would outpoint him and use good movement to keep him from getting off, just like against Corrales. If not N'Dou, then Corrales.

Apples and oranges - Corrales, despite being tall, barely fought from the outside at all - his game was almost strictly on the inside.

I can't believe some of you are using Corrales as a model of what Paul Williams is, or Margarito for that matter.

We are talking about two guys who are very much bigger than Corrales. Both of whom throw in volume. Corrales never was a volume puncher in his life. He was all about throwing bombs. Big hooks and uppercuts. Floyd knew this so he lunged at Corrales from the outside all night.

Both Williams and Margarito work from the outside. Paul moreso with his jab and straight left. No way does Mayweather get away with that Corrales strategy here. Absolutely none. Paul would match him punch for punch on the outside, and then some.

Let's watch them fight, you're just mad your boy Margo got owned so you now have to choose someone else to beat Mayweather.

margarito fans are like pussies getting fucked. paul williams whips out his huge mindinggo and shoves it up them margarit-hoes pussies so far up so theyre hurting right now. but give them a bit more time then theyll come to like it like the sluts they are.

its already starting, margarito fans are already jumping to the williams bandwagon. fuckin pbf haters.

You are both a couple of dumbasses. After all these months you still do not get it.

Floyd Mayweather fears volume punchers. Which is why he ran from Margarito in the first place.

The fact that you compare Corrales to Williams or Margarito is reason enough to end this charade with you cretins. Learn your boxing.
