Three fights, 2 ko's and 1 awsome awsome fight (props to both guys)
ANYONE who tuned in tonight, and dont become a boxing fan, and would rather tune into something else... fuck em. boxing doesnt need em anyways.
i want to thank and give props to hbo for providing three good fights, i wish they would do this more often, it would fit more big fights in, since there are little tv spots... forget undercards sometimes and just line up multiple fights and just have the headliners one after the other.
anyways... i loved it... good night for boxing. i am sad what happened to gatti.... i could tell just from the training videos, his core was gone... i didnt think he would lose THAT bad... and i got choked up a lil, but hey, it brought his retirment so thats the silver lining.
The UK card was good too. Khan/Limond was fun as fuck, Cook/Luevano was a nice fight too. Pity about Skelton/Sprott, but the smaller fights on that card made up for it.
I've watched about 11 (UK, HBO and Jones) fights today and there was only one I disliked. Great night for boxing.

Excellent night for Boxing:
Kermit has devastating KO. Gomez gets passed the torch as the next exciting B-level fighter with an amazing performance & Paul throws over 100 punches a round at 162 lbs in an exciting fight.
Props to HBO for this one, wonder how long it'll be before we get something like this for free again.

Showtime would have never put all three of those fights on one card.

The Gatti fight was meaningless. That is never good.
The Cintron fight was also meaningless.....anyone and everyone knew that Walter was a tomato can. Cintron should ONLY be fighting B level or higher at this stage and in his comeback he has yet to face a B level fighter.
Williams and Margo fight saves the night as it was a good scrap and a significant fight.
The Cintron fight was a good measuring stick. He blasted Matthyse out in 2 rounds were it took Williams 10 rounds and numerous punches to get him out of there. And you saw him call out your cousin. You think Mosley would take the fight?

Styles make fights, Cintron is a bigger puncher then Williams, at the same time it appears that Williams has a much better chin then Cintron.

This was definately one of the more entertaining cards in awhile. Hope to see more of them in the future.

I think Cintron pulled out also. But that was because him and Steward thought they werent ready for Mosley yet. Right now the experiment is coming together beautifully. They think they are ready for Mosley now.
