Exactly. This guys pontificating isn't even annoying me anymore. He needs to do something to be taken seriously.

Froch is too pedestrian, the only thing he's got going for him is power. A shot to pieces Reid landed a load of right hands on Froch.

I fancy kessler to unify the Super Middles in next couple of years. Frochs clearly talking jazz

do you think reid would have beat froch when he wasnt shot?
i think he would have done
there is no way froch can do a number on kessler... no way

He's clearly not shit.
No he's not shit but he does need to get a move on with his career. It's interesting he mentioned the Beeb pulling out because of Fraudley. I do think that probably hindered his career some what but he needs to now make the right fights.

Kessler would beat the fuck out of him. He would not stop him, but he would win about 10 or 11 rounds and Froch would be bust up and barely throwing a punch by the end.

I think he'd stop him on accumulation because that jab would easily land all night and so would that right cross. Unless Froch rolls with the punches as well as Andrade does, which is unlikely - you have a stoppage on your hands. Froch just doesn't have much of a defence.

And he is doing so. He'd have already beaten Inkin by now and would have been in line to take up Joe's WBC belt if/when he vacates. Either way, he'll have his chance for a title shot or a big name defence before the year is up
People sometimes forget amid the big talk he has actually only had 22 fights and turned pro in 2002 so he's hardly going incredibly slow. As long as his knee holds up he has 4/5 good years yet given his style

Yup you're right. Assuming he beats Inkin, which I think he will, and assuming JC vacates will he just inherit the title or will he have to fight another fight?

froch needs a slap, yep put up of shut up, he is not as good as calzaghe even if he thinks he is. not sure who is feeding him the stuff he is the best in the division who has he beaten?

Most likely - inherit - that's what the rules say and both Inkin and Froch are well enough rated for it to be considered a decent vacant title fight.

I think he'll just get it, which I'm sure you'll just love
I'm sure they'll be looking for a big name defence though, sounds like he wants Taylor

He won't get Taylor or Pavlik. Really bad risk/reward for them.

Well he's not going to get Pavlik anytime soon, looks like he's staying at 160 with a fight against Rubio lined up followed by Abraham. Pavlik is only going to be tempted by a fight with Joe
Taylor's reward would be a version of the world title. He's got to accept he's no longer a big fish. Kessler hasn't got a belt which makes that unlikely, and he is the only big money matchup for Taylor. Bute doesn't offer any greater reward than Froch, and Taylor might fancy his chances of outboxing Froch rather than Bute. I don't really see why it couldn't happen if Froch gets this belt

Because Froch is even more unknown than Bute, say, and because Taylor will only fight big fights. Froch, even with a belt, is not a big fight. Won't happen until Froch beats a couple of people ranked and well-known in the USA e.g. Miranda, Andrade, Lacy, Green, etc.

Ah okay well I don't really like them but I accept they are a necessary evil & I guess if this is a final eliminator & JC vacates then it would be unfair to make Carl fight another fight to get the belt.
I agree with what you say about Taylor. He shouldn't turn his nose up at a WBC title shot coming off two losses.

Realistically, there aren't many huge fights for Taylor, certainly not of the proportion he is accustomed to. This is supermiddle, the chronically overlooked division, there are no decent Americans which is the "problem"
I'm not convinced Bute is any more known than Froch in America, and is certainly not to the degree that he would overlook the chance of picking up a belt against a fighter that might be much easier to outbox
I suppose it depends on whether Taylor wants to earn a few paycheques or actually make some noise in the division. If he wants money he can simply fight the names you've mentioned, a washed up Lacy, a fringe contender Green, or the popular Miranda. You are probably right, he may take this route whilst waiting for Kessler to do the hard work before making a big fight

Taylor will go for the money against big names, instead of legacy and titles, until he can get a big fight against a name for a title, I think.

Sad but true :-(
That fucker will wait for Kessler to do all the work in order to make the fight as lucrative as possible. You can just see he is waiting for that fight, and it is not viable at present with both coming off losses
The unfortunate thing is guys like Froch/Bute/Mundine will not get their chance to make a big name for themselves against Taylor as they will probably have to fight Kessler first after which they'll be forgotten about :-(
Ah, boxing politics.

If Bute beats Andrade in autumn and then another fighter known in America, I think Taylor will agree to fight him in 2009. Kessler is too much, I think. We'll see.

I'd like to see one of these other guys get a chance at Taylor. If they fought and beat him as I believe they would maybe this very talented division would FINALLY get the respect it deserves. That is Bute, Froch or Mundine. It wouldn't be such a suprise when Kessler beats him
Even Andrade would be a very good test for him. I didn't know Bute was lined up to face him, what is the news there?

Andrade is Bute's mandatory. Bute is out injured; we'll come back in 6 weeks. Cannot squeeze a voluntary in between, so Andrade in autumn is his next fight.

Excellent, I'll be looking forward to that one
I like Bute against the pressure fighters, he was good against Berrio and Bika (although he's somewhat different)
Andrade is a step up again though. Will be interesting to compare Bute against Kessler's domination of Andrade, that will give a great indication as to where he is at

Very tough fight for Bute...Andrade is very much the wrong style for him. I'm taking Bute but give Andrade about 40% of winning.

I see it the other way. I think Bute will put down a marker in this fight, and pretty much school him. Not as badly as Kessler, but schooled all the same :yep
Although Kessler's footwork was outstanding in that fight, Andrade admitted as much. Bute's isn't quite as good, that could make a big difference against a guy like Andrade :huh
I say 8-4, or 9-3 Bute!

No...very hard fight for Bute because of styles...his hardest by far...Andrade brings constant, relentless pressure and that loopy right that Bute can be hit with; Bute cannot hurt Bute, or slow him down...Andrade can win this!

How do you see the following matchups?
Froch - Bute - Bute TKO
Froch - Andrade - 50/50
Froch - Mundine - Mundine wide UD
Mundine - Bute - 50/50...the longer we wait, the greater Bute's chance
Mundine - Andrade - Andrade TKO
All the above - Taylor
I am not sure how Froch would fare against Froch yet - let's wait for Inkin...but Taylor has a great jab...and he moves well...
Andrade probably is too tough for Taylor...Andrade TKO
Mundine probably beats Taylor close UD
Bute beats Taylor by TKO
If Froch beats Inkin, without Inkin's chin being the main reason why he won, he'll go up in my esteem a lot; if Inkin is indeed chinny...Froch would still have a lot to prove - let's see how Froch deals with Inkin until the stoppage.

Pretty much agreed other than I don't see Froch getting stopped by Bute, more likely decision, and I believe he could beat Taylor
Taylor could beat Andrade if he fought as he did in Pavlik II, otherwise he gets KTFO.

Bute would land just too much on Froch and his footwork would get him out of trouble when Froch tried to attack...it's not a chin problem; it's a defence problem on top of styles. But yeah, if Bute doesn't go full out or if he wants to counterpunch more, whilst minimising risks...wide UD. Of course, if Froch gets too aggressive, Bute will land even more, and I'd go for the TKO again.
Taylor doesn't have enough power to stop Andrade in his tracks sufficiently, the way Kessler did, for example. His jab is great, but...not strong enough, I don't think. If I was to bet, I wouldn't bet on Taylor in this one.

That said, I would fancy Froch against any super middle other than Kessler.
Im gonna wait until i see how he handles Inkin, but at this moment, Bute, Mundne, Taylor and Kessler all beat Carl Froch.
