From me to you guys on the Brit forum. Beatboxer called me on it before & he was right. I have let my attachment to Hopkins affect me somewhat and, although my prediction is steadfast, I do feel I have been drawn into some unnecessary dislike of Joe Calzaghe and am sorry to any I may have offended.

I have nothing against the man & have been watching him for years. Don't get me wrong, I still want Bhops to win but no matter what the outcome I think both men deserve respect. We should be celebrating both men & savouring this fight as I don't think either man will be around for long & both will be missed from our sport.

So thats my apology, take from it what you will. I just hope for a great fight saturday. May the best man win.

You crazy man, saying sorry for arguing! Half the so called Calzaghe fans in here arent proper Calzaghe fans anyway, they are just bandwagon jumpers cos Joe is doing so great just now. It wasnt so long ago I remember when you could literally count Calzaghes fans on ESB on one hand, & I aint kidding.
He was sick note joe, Joe Calslappy & all the other insults pre Lacy, & nobody defended him. Now Joes on a winning streak posters are getting offended cos you slagged him off? crazeee. Pre Lacy, you couldnt find a poster from outside Wales who defended Joe, apart from shirt ripper extraordinaire Max molyneux.

Joes a crcking fighter, make no mistake. & I say that as a guy whose not much of a Calzaghe fan. I give him his respect nowadays, he proved me wrong ages ago here. but all this mock outrage & Calzaghe love thats flowing on ESB now? I dont fall for it a bit. I am sure everyone appreciates the apology Dan but you really don't need to give one mate. Yes, you may say how you feel about Calzaghe and yes, many disagree but you are undoubtedly entitled to your opinion and to voice it. You are definitely a big asset to ESB and frankly, I usually have nothing but respect for your posts - I am sure I have mentioned this to you, and others previously. My rather childish retorts toward you dismissal of Calzaghe should have been avoided, so I am guilty of stoking things up a bit too.

I realise my tuppence may not mean too much but, like the other lads who have responded, no hard feelings and all the best (apart from hoping Calzaghe beats Ol Popkins arse). P.S. Dunky does put it so much better.

I would take you apology more seriously if you only had your great old avatar pic back, you remember the one, Joe C, FW and Enzo Mac all having a good laugh :D.
