From my understanding we all want to see him fight Cotto right? Where is the offer? We are talking about here and now. Floyd haters are quick to critisize him about not fighting Cotto but his promoter is just talking without making an attempt to actually make the fight happen.

He fought Baldo to grab the true champioship belt for th same amount and Floyd was nowhere near the status he is at now when he called Cotto out then. Floyd didn't have a big fanbase either at that point. Cotto is better now but he was still knocking fighters out back then.

I firmly believe that it was Arum's plan originally to hype Margarito as much as possible so that the victory would seem much better for his true thoroughbred in Cotto. The guy has been talking openly about how it's his dream fight since the end of 2006 if I remember.
