Both of Sheika's eyes were cut, his face was a bloody mess and in the round he was stopped, he was being absolutely hammered into submission.

Personally, I wish the Ref had let him suffer a bit longer. After Sheika's pre-fight attempts at wannabe-gangsta intimidation it was quite pleasurable to see Calzaghe mess him up like that...a few more rounds and he'd have been put into retirement.

Absolutely agree with. Great performance from Joe and Sheika got everything he looked for with his machismo and trash-talking approach. Actually, I feel that the straight left was killing him and when he came out for the fifth to bust Calzaghe on the ropes, there were pretty good defensive moves from Joey. Maybe Genaro Rodriguez was a little bit premature but it goes down as one of the best performances from the Welshman.

Of course, I don't wish for a young man to get hurt no matter what he says.
