Interestiong night for the WW division last night...in many way the cream of the division raised to the top, and maybe just maybe we could se thru the pretenders...

Kermit "The Killer" Cintron: with Emanuel Stewart he is a totally different boxer far more complete and cofidence that he ever was, disposing of his opponent in 2 domionating rounds. Mathysse a man that took Paul Williams to the limit, and eventually succumb to the volumen of Paul Williams was dismantle in 2 rounds, showiong the power that Kermit has and has improve since working with Emanuel.

Even his phisique was different , reminding me of the hey days of Kronk's favorite son, Tommy Hearns, the way that Emanuel has Kermit working behind the jab and the cross combos and his new found left upper cut, reminded me of Tommy Hearns all the way...the future for Kermit looks bright!!

Alfonzo Gomez: I always taught that Alfonzo was the best of THe Contender crop, and he has prove to me that he is, talking care of business , staying within himself and waht he can do well in the ring, and that he did taking care and retiring the gutz and blood warrior Arturo Gatti, Gomez look great, well coach and his corner was delivering the prefect advise to his which he followed to the tee...

Arturo Thunder Gatti: Well the end of the road, we which him well, but as said last night Gatti never defeated a good boxer opponent nor when he stepped up in class...Mickey Ward did a poor job in the corner IMO , not commenting on the obvious ...to evade the power and accurated right hand of Gomez....

Antonio Margarito: Well I am a fan of Margarito and taught that he was going to take care of PW in similar fashion he did Kermit, yet, he gave away to many rounds in the first 5 rounds , which I have 4-1 PW, to discard his late fight efforts...Margo;s last few fights since Lujan, he has not look good even after disposing of Margo, he has look slow and lethargic, in the early rounds, more than ofterm since he has been a slow starter, but in the last 4 fights more than ever, and he can;t no do that against opponnets of the caliber of PW....he may it close but not a win I had it 115-113...the 12th round was clearly won by PW...

Paul Williams: He took adavantage of his heaight and angles for 5 rounds against MArgo and that's why he won, after the 5th round, he started to show signs of winded ..his hands drop , his movement was not as sharp and Margo was catching all his punches with his gloves, and he show to be succectible to the body, which led me to beleive that he fight Cotto, if Cotto gets in he will be in mayor trouble since Cotto is compact and far more accurate than Margos looping punches....PW look good for 5 rounds...I was not to impress much after that...we will see...it was a great victory for PW, but let;s see what happens from here on...
