Yo this is my first post on this website and I hope I can recieve the answers I'm looking for.... I'm 27 years old, have NEVER boxed or any other fighting profession... Their is a great boxing trainer in my area that I can get to train me but I wanna know if this is possible... What is the odds that I can make a career out of boxing starting at this age? Is it unheard of? I've always had good stamina "other sports" an very quick hands.. I love to train, run at least 4 miles a day and have always loved the sport of boxing.... I know that boxers start as babies at times but I know that I'll give it 100% if I go at it.... Please give me advise.... Thanks in advance:D
You can have lots of fun with it and compete at amateur level. A career however, I don't think so.

Just start out as an amateur and see if you enjoy it and have any ability. It's too early to ask this question. Realistically, more likely than not you will never make a career out of it.
But there are exceptions, and if you and people in the know see something in you, you may decide to take the risk, put your life into it and may add to those exceptions. However, you must be man enough to take the hit if it comes out that you've put your life into a project like that and ended up with nothing. If you don't put your all into it, however, then you won't make it. Good luck.

Give it a try. It's not the norm to start at your age, but maybe you can be an exception. You'll never know if you don't give it a go.

Also if you're running four miles a day, you already have a good fitness base to get started.

Give it a shot.
I started at 17 and will be WORLD CHAMPION someday.
So there you are, then!

For right now, just do it because you enjoy it. You'll know later if you want to go pro. You need to get punched a few times before you decide
