Let's look at Margo last 5 fights and see if yhou guys agree with me that his skills are on the decline..sure he is 4-1, but lest see...
Lujan: won, but showed signs of having trouble with short stocky opponents, it took him 10 rounds to figure lUjan, and even though he was up on the card it was not an easy fight...
Cintron: Well little we can learn about this fight since the mental debukled that Cintron experincen on this fight...but he look sharp in the last 2 rounds...
Gomez: this was less than a sparring session for Margo...
Clottey: he exposed some defencive deficiencies that Margo has and in all honesty if his hands would have not given up he should ahve won taht fight...
PW: again he look slow and lethargic with sure he figure out PW by the5th but his out put and pop was declining...
At this point I strongly beleive that after last night Margo is starting to be past his prime....

Margarito isn't on the decline he just fought a much busier and stronger fighter ..I'm sure a fight with Mosley or Cotto would be diffrent .

Sure it would be different against Cotto, he will get KTFO.....plain and simple....to many holes on his defence

If his last five are him on the decline he wasnt a lot to begin with. Before the last five he lost to Daniel Santos.

Your delusional....but as soon as Arum's scared ass signs the contract with Shane, I will be sure to ask you for your aggreement to a 3 month ban bet.
In fact if he puts him in with Margo despite the loss I will do the same as I believe either Margo or Shane beats Cotto.
You are on....fool!!!:good

Nope, I didn't say he was shot, but I been watching his fights and his leverage and footwork is not slowing and he doesn;t have the same leverage as he did for example against Kyvelos fights or even the Santos fights, give styles makes fights, but his zip on his punches more visible on the Clottey fight and last night ...is not there.....
It's called inactivity.
Fighting once a year can't help a young welterweight in his prime like him. He's only 28 !

Margo is 28 in physical years far more in boxing hyears, similar to El Terrible...

Morales has 50 fights including over 25 wars !
I'm almost sure that inactivity is what is killing Margarito, not his physical condition. He looked bad everytime he took a long break (Lujan, Clottey and now Williams) and could only get started in the second half of the fight.

Partially true, but those are also the fights he has look with very poor technique on his punches, and lack of leverage.....Margo....I beleive he is on the decline...and his next fight will be far more telling than this one....

He was never worth a damn from the begining. Being at 147 for 10 years and never facing or beating the man there tells you everything you need to know about him.:deal
Might be true.
But being poor technically is also caused by inactivity IMO. In his fight against Cintron, he looked really ''sharp'' for a wide puncher like him.
Only time will tell I guess.

That Cintron doesn;t exist anymore, he was there for take the entire 5 rounds for Margo....never again...in the rematch, if it happens and I beleive that it might since Cotto will fight SSM and that leave Margo without a fight and Kermit is ready, unless PW and Kermit FIGHT...Kermit will avenge his lost to Margo....The Margo that showed up last night vs. Kermit of last night is a no contest...

Cintron would kill Margo in a rematch. He has improved under Manny.

Styles make fights ..Margarito can compete Williams is just a style that flusters him ..he loses a 12 rd decision and now he 's on the decline ??
People need to stop !

huh? Mosley and Cotto are better then Williams, so why would Margo have a better chance? Margo isn't anything special and will most likely lose against any of the top fighters.

Did you not watch his fight before Williams? He was on his way to losing that fight also.

The Clotty fight yeah I agree but I can't say he's on the decline ..I'm sure fights with Mosely and Cotto play out diffrent ..I think a fight with Mosley that fight is much closer a Cotto fight well I think Cotto beats him but neither man is gonna walk right through him ..

Margarito isn't on the decline he just fought a much busier and stronger fighter ..I'm sure a fight with Mosley or Cotto would be diffrent .Yeah they would be different because those guys have POWER, and even faster hands then Williams. stepping up to the elite level of boxing will prove to be a big and tough step for Tony. He is maybe alittle too limited. He is pretty good at what he does, but you cant do that to everyone as I think that he found out in his fight with Williams. He has no plan B. And if you think that Tony is going to be able to walk to Shane and Cotto throwing those wide ass punches and still be strong in the late rounds then you are CRAZY. Those two will eat his lunch with power shots right down the pipe.

I think Margarito has a better chance against Mosley than he does Cotto .I don't think Mosley is knocking Antonio out I just don't see it ..

No shit. The guy was never a world beater. Just a decent slugger with good stamina. The only way that you would think the he's been "exposed" or is in a slump would be if you bought into all the BS hype in the first place. He'll be in the mix at 147, but he's NOT elite.
Does anyone still really believe that Mayweather, DLH, Mosely, and Wright were afraid of this guy?

Mosely would carve him the fuck up. The guy is too slow and too crude for Shane.

I think Margarito has a better chance against Mosley than he does Cotto .I don't think Mosley is knocking Antonio out I just don't see it ..I do, if he walks in the way that he walk to every other fighter he will get waxed by mosley. It would happen early in the fight to. Mosley is too fast, Tony's punches too wide.
Unbelieve how Margo has stepped up in his last two fights, been outworked and totally outclassed over the first halfs of fights, and without the injuries to Clottey hands would be 0-2, yet you cats still think that he is an elite fighter and would beat fighters like shane, and Floyd. WOW..I guess seeing isnt believeing.

He just proved a mssg board hype job but he's still a decent fighter .thats the thing. people thought he was better then what he was because of the whole mayweather thing. last night result wasnt a big suprise. there are more talented fighters then margo at 147 but he still easily one of the best welterweights in the division even after this loss.

I am not going to knock Margo out, he definitively has the skills to KO anyone in the division, but his flaws on his technique have been slowly exposed by Lujan, Clottey and now PW, now he is still was dangerous enough that he made a blow out turn into a very tight and incredible fight on shear will …so what he lack’s on technique he has on chin, heart and tenacity…3 factor’s that are not to be taken lightly in any sport specially boxing…now that said….against highly technical opposition he will show his flaws…
