View Full Version : Why Was Micky Ward Training Gatti?

I am sorry, when HBO played the pre-fight telecast of his training with Ward. I was like, these are two mentally retarded fighters with about an ounce of common sense between the two. I mean if there was a "Special Olympics" of boxing these two would be the headliners. Anybody else notice the way Gatti's face was twitching. I mean not to be funny but he kind of reminded me of this guy.

LOLOLOL i kind of agree, though that is mean. It is somewhat true. It looked like Mickey was just happy to be along for the ride and making some money. The only training it showed ws Mickey running with him and Arturo saying THAT WAS MY BEST RUN!!! YAYYYY. haha funny . should have got a real trainer maybe.

btw ur pic isnt showing up.

Hard to say whether Ward is any good as a trainer or not. He didn't have much to work with in Gatti at this point. Like Ray Arcel used to say, "you can't beat Father Time."

Gatti's entire corner looked kind of cartoonish. Who was that muscle bound pornstar looking guy in the everlast bare midriff? Gatti is really someone str8 out of the movies. I shall miss him in the ring.

At least Ward admitted that he got hit...and hit again when he boxed. He admitted it was dumb as does gatti. They resent the way they fought b/c look how they ended up. I guess you wouldnt know that. I respect both fighters but it was comical. I am sorry, they were like two Corky's from Life Goes On boxing...and training..lol...and his entourage was comical as well. I mean his corner was a circus....ahahah..Male pornstar..ahahahah... Only in atlantic city

Thats what my brother said:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Its like with gatti. His head is like a magnet for punches. I mean when puts his guard he gets hit flush. when he moves his head it si directly into a punch. I love mayweather but he gets less credit for his domination over Gatti. I mean he is a human punching bag literally:?

LOL :rofl:rofl:rofl

To Ward's credit, last night's performance had nothing to do with him, Gatti was just about 3 years past his expiration date.

Didn't Zito walking to the ring with Malignaggi cause all that bad blood between Arturo and Paulie? I thought he'd burned his bridge with Gatti.

I guess they are best friend, both looking for a couple more paydays together. I always liked Gatti, worthy of the nicknames: "Human Highlight Reel" and "Blood and guts Warrior"

You're an idiot. Show some respect.

These guys are warriors, they choose to fight and accept the consequences. I thought it was cool that they're such close friends, and I thought Ward actually sounded pretty good and gave decent advice, Gatti just had nothing left.
