they both beat Gatti but Gomez did it in more impressive fashion he actually won pretty clearly although I thought the stoppage was a little premature. Who do you like? Floyd is looking for an opponent and I think it would be a great fight. I would still pick Floyd though, probly by decision.

When you said the stoppage last night was premature, I figured you were either a troll or the least informed boxing fan of all time. Therefore, I am not going to hold this post against you, despite the fact you put Gomez and Mayweather in the same sentence. Floyd would decimate Gomez so badly it wouldn't even be funny. ATG > B-level fighter.
Mayweather would probly win but it would be a good fight. Gomez punch makes it interesting.

What would be the point of a Mayweather- Gomez fight, Mayweather would easily outpoint him, and it wouldnt do much for Mayweather's legacy. Hes got bigger fish to fry.

first of all if you think gomez beat gatti in more impressive fashion than pbf i dont know what you were watching........then pbf would beat gomez up pretty bad to either a 120-108 fight or mid to late stoppage

i watched the gatti-pbf fight just the other night and i think he did more damge to gatti then gomez did....gatti is who he is because of that fight..... pbf dismantled him and gatti was just not the same after
you can mention gomez-pbf maybe in 2 years we are not sure yet if gomez is that good or if gatti was just that bad at this point

i had gomez winning before the fight wit gatti, just off gomez's style and gatti's breakdown of last fight. but anyone putting gomez in the same area code as floyd is reaching too hard. floyd not only would outpoint him easily, but would knock him down and probably out before they broke into a good sweat.

the gomez-gatti fight was depressing as fuck. because you could see Gatti trying to throw punches that used to work for him but it would be seconds too late. and throwing a combination that literally only hit gomez in the wrists....wow

Ummm, is this post serious. Floyd would totally outclass Gomez. I like Alphonso....seems like an absolute great guy. But Floyd is on another level!
guys I know Floyd would win dont think it would be as big of a blowout though. Im thinking like 116-112 Mayweather.
