Isn't it funny that:
-Zab Judah was fast enough to give Mayweather trouble, but when he lost he was a bum that lost to jurneyman Carlos Baldomir
-Floyd has never fought someone as tough and strong as Baldomir someone who walks around at 180 lbs, yet when he lost he turned nto a bum that has lost 10 times in his career and had crappy skills.
-Floyd has never fought someone like De la Hoya who is a modern legend hits harder than anyone Floyd has fought against and fighting at 154 was going to be too much for him to handle, yet when he outpunched Oscar he turned into and old past his prime fighter.
-Floyd had never fought someone with the fast pressure Hatton would give him. That his style was finally the one to beat him and Floyd met his match in Ricky, yet when Floyd sent him flying into the ringpost with a perfect "check hook" Ricky turned into an overrated european junior welterweight slugger(keeping in mind Floyd started at 130lbs and Ricky was already at 140 lbs)
- So if Floyd fights Cotto and beats him whats going to be the excuse?

who gives a shit he should be fighting the top contenders in a stacked division instead of milking those titles and going to the WWE and fighting part time fighters just for the money.

It's not that he doesn't get enough credit, it's that people give him TOO MUCH credit..
If he beats Cotto, then he'll get the credit he deserves..

Most reaonable fans that tear into Floyd do so because of who he hasn't fought at welter. Judah was good, but he's not the top guy. Baldo me have beat Judah, but we all know it was more do to Zabs lack of preperation that Baldo's skill. And Floyd has already beat Oscar. I personaly think he is the most talented fighter today. But if he isn't going to take on the best, I can't call him the best. If he beats Cotto that'll go a long way to redeeming himself. If he beat Cotto, Margs and maybe a Berto or Clottey down the line, he leaves no doubt. Im a firm believer that the best have to keep fighting the best to keep their p4p rank. Jmo.

Don't worry most (not all) people still won't give him credit when he puts it on Cotto.

The motherfucker had the linear WW title!....not floyd's fault....it was Judah who lost to him....and he beat him as well....
So why do peaple overlook that fact so much?
Of course i agree that he should fight Cotto, and he will.
But you can't get TOO mad at him for making big money fights in the meantime (i don't really care for the DLH rematch), as Cotto gets his name bigger. Trust me, if and when he beats marg, the superfight is certain.

how bout we all stop talking about floyd and move on to Cotto/Marg the future of the Welterweights. Cotto doesnt need a win from Mayweather. What is that going to prove? That Cotto can chase and catch Floyd.....Fuck Mayweather!!! boring ass bitch

im not knocking him for fighting baldo or dlh, those were smart fights to take at the time, its just the fact that hes put rematching dlh ahead of finally facing margo or fighting cotto.

If he was to beat Cotto like he did to Hatton man id give him mad props and would never talk shit about him.....But we all know that wont happen at best he gets UD 12 round by win of Defensive Faggotry.

I don't think he will KO him either because Floyd doesn't throw combos like he used to but don't you think you are a bit too harsh on a fighter calling him bitches and what not. I don't think anyfighter should get that type of treatment.

that is about as accurate and simply put as you can make it. I admit, I give him too much credit being a fan. But if he lost to any fighter like a Cotto I would not just say he was overhyped and all the bullshit that comes along with being a great fighter that loses. With Floyd, it is not about just who he beat, its how good he looks doing it. He can even be smooth fighting a little dirty and he perfects that shit like in the Hatton fight. He was dirty but damn..that was some sneaky dirty tactics that are effecient and not just loud and blatent.

I know people don't give a shit about the amount of money a fight can produce, neither do i.
But when a boxer achieves superstar status.....they want superstar fights...i mean a baby can understand that.
If it was up to the fans....floyd would've been fighting Cotto this year but because floyd is a superstar (highly recognized figure by the media that generates publicity) He wants to keep fighting others such as himself.
Now everybody and their mama knows that Cotto is the emerging star of the WW division. And i'm sure floyd knows that as well.
Now as i said, if and when he beats marg, then the fight has to happen.
And if floyd declines then i'll have to agree that he's afraid and will stain his mark in history.
But yes, i agree that we should focus on the cotto-marg megafight. It's going to be a war.

the excuse will be that cotto wore 10oz gloves instead of 8oz gloves. LOL!
