Byrd is lying :deal
To what end? In other words, why would he lie about losing a fight as an amateur? There is no reason to. Byrd said he had never met Joe in the ring or otherwise.

"He had a stand-out win over Chris Byrd in 1992."
It's on Calzaghe's wikipedia page too.
Hmm, Boxrec and wikipedia...that's some ways from definitive proof!

I read a letter that Byrd sent to Flatlander in which he claims him and Calzaghe never met in or outside the ring.

Not sure to what you are referring too but Chris is not a liar. I am still waiting for someone to tell me what would be the point of advantage to Byrd to lie about something like this.

Yea, Exactly, Chris Byrd gains what by lying? Nothing, and he doesn't seem like the type of person to lie about something like that anyway. And to the person who has seen the video, could you show us? Where and how?
