Look, I know that in the past that he has been the worst kind of arrogant fucktard, thinking that he is so much better than he actually is - and his rhetoric has been nothing short of humiliating in hindsight. I doubt that anyone was happier than me when he got knocked cold by Sprott.

But.....right now I just feel really bad for him. He's been humbled so badly that he just seems to be a shadow of the person he used to be, not to mention the personal tragedies that have befallen him. And I just find that sad. It almost feels like he's just fighting for pride now, and I hope he does salvage a little something out of his career.

Yup no use kicking a man when he's down. I've been a little harsh on him recently but I'm prepared to cut him some slack as long as the opposition is respectable & he doesn't start giving it the "biggun" until he has some decent scalps under his belt.

The problem with Fraudley is he lies to himself like BHop is doing now. "Sprott hit me with a lucky punch". When a person things they know everything they are incapable of learning.

Maybe if we all get behind him he will have a nice soft cushion to fall on.

I've never thought the guy was arrogant or a big mouth, he's always come across as quite a pleasant person. His biggest problem is the fact that he is totally delusional, yet lacks genuine self belief.
I have always wanted him to do well, but after watching him on Saturday it's obvious that nothing has changed.

i used to watch him on the bbc, fighting tomato cans after tomato cans saying the same old im stepping up, this ones a live opponent.... i payed my tv license to see him fight butchers, nightclub doorman, etc etc

at the same time mike sprott, kieth long, danny williams and herbie hide were all fighting on the bbc. the bbc wanted harrison to fight the above but he never did. he faced tomato cans, couldnt understand why the british public didnt get behind him, took the 1 million pound of the bbc, and fucked off to america

i will never get behind harrison as long as i live

i hope he gets brutally koed again

Gotta say, I do feel pity for the guy regarding his brother passing.

I hope he can do something in the game (British Champ or summat) in memory of his sibling.

Whoever was in charge of the BBC clearly failed to do some research into the pro game.

No matter what you have achieved in the amateurs, it is a totally different sport, not dissimilar to rugby league and rugby union, and if you swap over you have to start from the bottom up.

Not wishing to sound cynical, but if you were offered £1m for fighting tomato cans, you would accept it like a shot.

One thing Audley forgot to do is research. By insisting on promoting your own bouts, guys like Frank ******, who controlled most of the better heavies, and Maloney, are unwilling to put their fighters on one of Audley's bills, thus leaving yourself with a much lower standard of opponent, forcing him to go abroad. Thus when stepping up to face Danny Williams, he wasn't really ready, and got beat.

Hes fight made me fall asleep saturday night, i only woke up when tom jones was singing. had 2 cups of coffee. If he mad made me miss the calzaghe fight i would have been done with Fraudley.

he is deluded, but a fight with david haye is.............in audleys own words, sexy. Up there with witter vs hatton as the biggest domestic fight out there now.

I like the idea of Haye and Audley fighting but I'd like Harrison to get a decent win first. Audleys a bit of a high risk, low reward fight for Haye at the moment.

Would be great if Harrison can turn things around but I'm unconvinced he can on that showing. Think in many peoples eyes his reputation is irreparably tarnished.

I'll stop taking personal shots at Audley - he's had a shit time of it over the last couple of years.

But I think him saying the Sprott KO was a lucky does not bode well for his self honesty. And if the is one sport when a person will be found out if they kid themselves its heavywieght boxing.

Turning pro he got all the big breaks most other fighters just don't get, and he went and plain fucked it up.

From the boxing side of things I have no sympathy for him at all.

The most shitty thing of all is that he appears to have had the skills to get to the very top (minus chin and stamina issues, yet that didn't stop Vlad Klitschko). However, i think his time has well and truly passed now.

What a wasted talent.

I agree.

And didn't he try the humble act before, around 2006, when he lost those decisions to Williams and Guinn.

Then, as soon as he beat Williams in the rematch (actually Danny was a late-sub for Skelton) he IMMEDIATELY STARTED TALKING CRAP AGAIN.

He's a fantasist. Talks about winning the heavyweight world title, but doesn't address the fact that he's been doing poorly against third-raters (and worse).

I give Harrison full credit for winning the Olympic gold. But as a professional he's done fuck all but shoot his mouth off and deny that he's performing horribly.

The initial dishonesty of the BBC team didn't help, mostly excusing his fraudulent act for about 2 or 3 years !
When Nigel Benn came on as a pundit and expressed his indifference to Harrison's ability he was not asked back (although actually that might have had something to do with Benn saying "Boxing was better when it was on ITV" !)

Of all the British heavyweights why should Audley get a big money domestic fight with David Haye ?

Skelton is far more deserving. Skelton is actually a test. He has a proven chin at heavyweight.
Sprott is more deserving.
Roman Greenberg is more deserving.
And Herbie Hide (if Hide wants to move back up).
If Williams gets in shape he's more deserving. At least we know this guy is a warrior.

Bring ol' Henry out of retirement. He's more deserving too.:bbb
