By Michael Lieberman: Former two-time heavyweight champion Chris Byrd (40-4-1, 21 KOs), now campaigning as a light heavyweight, is reportedly interested in a fight with undefeated super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe according to the British Boxing News website. Byrd, 37, recently lost to heavyweight contender Alexander Povetkin by a 11th round TKO on October 27th,

You know what, Byrd's always been a stand up guy. I'm glad he's finally moved down in weight, although I think it would have been wise to do this a few years back, quite frankly.
I wish him all the best and am actually looking forward to seeing him at light heavyweight. Should be interesting.
The way I see it, the drop in weight will either help him because he'd me rejuvinated, sharper, quicker, and facing smaller men or it could hurt him because instead of facing slow, plodding heavyweights, he'd be facing guys that wouldn't be at a huge speed disadvantage. Let's hope it's the former.
Good god.. am I the only one who thinks he looks horrible? He should've atleast settled on cruiserweight.

He's talking about how he looks. Not how he will fight.

You remind me of the kid that use to pop his zits and then eat them.

I didn't even know it was Byrd at first, when he came on FNF's..
If he's serious at LH, he can cause plenty of damage.
there won't be not a one Lt heavy who can hurt him.
