Honestly i've never seen this 2 fight, but they are champions, hold WBO belts, and are undefeated. Not that i'm totally comparing them to calzaghe but they seem to be going the similar path as i've stated. Who do you guys think out of the 2 would be the next big star like calzaghe from europe?

Neither.
Erdei is quite a good fighter, very skilled and quick. But he doesnt seem to be dedicated to his craft. He could easily make 168 by the looks of it, he comes in looking soft well under the 175 mark. He has had stamina problems from the start, and he fights like Ottke only doing enough to win with a basic array of punches. He has zero power also. I think he beat sa lot of guys at 168-175 or at least give them a hard fight but he wont, he is content fighting nobodies because I seriously doubt his popularity in Germany.
Dzinziruk goes alright, havent seen heaps of him but he is pretty boring. As is Erdei.
Definitely no JC's here.

since nobody talks about erdei how do you see him vs. the other champs or even the names at 175? tarver, johnson, woods, dawson, hop, cal, jones at this point?
he seems to have a very solid and good resume however by looking at it

He had one good win against a good fighter who had just beat a great fighter and he really hasnt done anything since.
He really struggled against guys like Garay and Sahoune, who are ok but nothing special, especially Sahoune. He dominated most of the rest but seriously a lot of them shouldnt have been challenging for the WBO intercontinental title let alone the full strap.
I think he probably would struggle to beat most of those names. I think Johnson would be all wrong for him if the Garay fights are anything to go by. He would probably knock off Woods in Germany based on Clinton's last performance.
As I said he is a good fighter but with his lack of power (which is not as bad as I have made out but he doesnt go for Ko's or puts a lot on his shots most of the time), his style, his workrate I dont think the pros are for him. He seems more suited to 4x2 than 12x3.

sounds like a B fighter at best then:yep anyway tnx..i'll try to see if i could get to see them both this saturday
I saw a lot of Zsolt Erdei's fight he isn't that good he would lost vs Hopkins and Calzaghe mabye he would beat Tarver but i think he won't step up and fight's the top guy's. Not the next Calzaghe
Sergiy Dzinziruk is very good and mabye the best light middleweight's at the moment but he is absolutely unknown even here in germany.
His titelfight are not even main events.
If he continues fighting guy like Carlos Nascimento and Konecny he
will be unknown forever.
I think Erdei will never be a big star.
Sergiy Dzinziruk could become a star but only if he fights in the US here in germany his titelfight are not even main events.

THey are the typical protected German fighters and have fought NOBODY. Once they leave Germany (if they ever do), they will be exposed. Their titles are bogus paper titles...

They wont go the same way as Calzaghe.
Erdei thinks about retirement, because his promoter give him bums as opponents.
Dzinziruk is romoured to leave his promotor and seeking unification fights.

Time is running out on Erdei. He's talented, but he doesn't want to strive for greatness.
And that's fine, but he is not longer relevant to the world scene at 175. In my mind, that belt doesn't even exist.
Additionally, he is walking proof that the lineal belt isn't the end-all be-all, either.

Erdei is out of the picture. He's in it just for the money in relatively easy defences now. Dzinziruk will probably get a big fight in the USA after this one. He's not young but he's very much in his prime - he's probably the best man in his division, right now. Very good fighter indeed.

I certainly wouldn't call Thiam, Bayram, Colas and Konecny nobodies, pretty good fighters at light middleweight on the European stage.
And Dzinziruk's win over Daniel Santos can't be disregarded.

so is he better than winky, forrest, spinks, or a past prime DLH? how would he do against them?

This is interesting. i guess Erdei and Dzinziruk are Universum's B team.

I think so , although Winky isn't considering a return to 154 is he ? , have I missed something ?
Dzinzurik has a great jab and is a well schooled fighter who does everything pretty well , maybe lacks a little power at World level but he's not quite a powderpuff puncher either . In many ways he is a typical european fighter with a high guard , but he has quick hands and certainly isn't robotic .

Erdei is a gifted champ who for sure is no all time great, but he could have had some decent skalps in his fight record by now if he and his damn management hadnt been so bloody content with fighting one overmatched American clubfighter after another.
Dzindziruk is a totally different pair of shoes. He is one of the most underrated fighters of all weight divisions out there.A classy fighter with pop in his fists.Watching him do his job inside a ring is a true feast for any true box aficionado's eyes. His appeal to a casual sport fan is a bit limited though. He isnt the most feared banger who ends his fight with a spectacular ko. Whats more due to his inability to learn a foreign language and the lack of engagement on part of his promoter he is absolutely unknown outside the circle of us hardcore fans.He doesnt get any tv exposure neither in his adopted Germany nor outside of Germany.
His appalling lack of markebility is his biggest weak spot.Money is the name of this game, and markebility is the decisive factor in that game.Dzindziruk is a classy operator, but an unknown one who doesnt collect big paychecks when entering the ring to put up one of his brilliant shows of boxing.
He should move to the USA to showcase his skills there.Obviously his German promoter isnt ready to spend decent bucks to sign some known foe with recognisable names and good reputations. His German promoter also lacks the will to put him into the limelight. The Ukranian world champ doesnt get any meaningful tv exposure at all.

I would like to see more of this dzinzuruk.. Gamboa was a cuban fighting his early pro career at germany and he's getting the big stage at USA now.
I think his name is also a factor of his marketability..klitscho is easier to type and pronounce:yep
Dzinziruk is a quality fighter, and I've picked him for a long time to unify the division, now if only his promoter got his arse in gear...
Odo's post is an informative one, and explains his lack of progress thus far
I'm not really high on Erdei, solid but unspectacular

Gamboa has a contract with a very powerful box promotion which doesnt lack money for the time being. They dont hesitate to spend good bucks on their boys.
Not only Gamboa has risen very fastly and climbed up the ranks in amazing speed but his stable mates have had careers on the fast track as well.
A lot of money is behind Gamboa's employer Arena Box Promotion.
Dzinziruk's promoter is a miser who just doesnt understand how to enhance Dzindziruk's markebility.
Dzindziruk is one of the few fighters who would really do better by moving out of Germany and crossing the big pond to showcase his skills in the USA fighting for an American promoter.

Both Dzinziruk and Erdei are very good fighters. Erdei is more boring and defensive minded while Dzinziruk is more aggressive and powerful.
Both are protected by a promotion based solely on easy money-making called Universum Box-Promotion and that's a shame since both are on a level to compete vs. the elite.
I think Dzinziruk has a pretty good chance vs. the other champs, beats Phillips, Alcine and an older Forrest, loses to Spinks, DLH IMO. But he's getting unmotivated as he gets bums after bums.
Erdei was the fastest guy until Dawson's showed up. He's got a very nice jab but throws too few punches, has conditional problems so Glen would definitely catch him in the later rounds, probably TKO. He'd have a decent chance vs. Tarver but I'd pick Tarver wearing him down. 50-50 vs. today's Jones (Erdei's not there to get counterpunched like Tito). Calzaghe eats him alive, Hopkins takes away his jab and beats him up on the inside.
