Nathan Cleverly - I know it's a bit early to judge him and I've only seen him fight once, last Saturday.
He's being touted as the next star from Newbridge - anyone see anything too suggest he's gonna go far?

With his awful lack of power I can not see him going past domestic standard. He looks pretty decent but has not got enough quality to venture to the higher levels of the division.

no power he is going to struggle agaisnt b level and above. british/comenwealth champ then i say yes he could get it and maybe the european but that is all i can see him going unless. unless he gets very very fast and develops a chin stronger than Eubanks he is just going to get walked down and sparked out

The opponent he fought Saturday has been stopped a few times, I only watched the first 6 rounds but Cleverly never really hurt him despite landing at will

I was just going on his Ko percentage so far in his career. Maybe he has been matched against granit chinned fighters in each fight.
He looked good last weekend.

He struggled and got wobbled against Joey Vegas... he doesn't look like anything to me.
I could be wrong but I'm pretty confident that he won't achieve very much in the game.

That's the first time I've seen him. From the hype I thought he was Calzaghe's successor - he looks nothing of the sort.

It's only a matter of time before someone stops him. He seems to me like the kind of guy that would just throw it all in if that happened. His association with the Calzaghe gym is the only reason you've heard of him.
I missed his fight on Saturday as I chose to get some beers and a hotdawg oh-da-way

I didn't see the fight just gone, but i saw his fight before, he fought Joey Vegas, and i thought he was lucky to get the nod. Not impressed by him, not a future world champ.

Didn't look like he was going anywhere special.
Bearing in mind he was Calzaghe's main sparring partner it was worrying to see him struggle against a smaller journeyman on saturday who managed to hit him an alarming number of times. Have been seriously unimpressed by Cleverly's power and stooped easy-to-hit movement in his last 2 fights.

Ridiculous preparation by Calzaghe, considering the magnitude of his fight.

and judging the size of him he will have to move up to light heavy very soon.

He seemed to have a silly cockiness to him - laughing and showboating every time he got tagged - strange
