On the article on the front of ESB the one where Team Mayweather offers an excuse to not fight Cotto at this time. Dont ever say Mayweather is afraid to fight him... no real boxer is "afraid" of fighting another boxer... especially a boxer as accomplished and proven as mayweather... Why not just tell the truth that you really want mayweather to fight Cotto so your gonna put him down so that he will maybe have to respond to the critics? even though its not gonna work ;)

There seriously needs to be an editor of threads on this board. In fact if I was a politician and I wanted to take away the right to free speech, I'd probably use this board as a reference.

I'll tell you what. What really pisses you off is that you people already run out of excuses trying to justify PBF's chicken acts. It's not only against Cotto but also against Margarito.
Critics? Put him down?
:nono Nah nah nah . . . I only wanted to see PBF justify his claim if he is STILL the number 1 p4p fighter. I only wanted to see these fights happen.
What pisses me off are the illogical NUTHUGGERS. :yep

read the article..the comment about floyd making excuses seemed to be more realistic than Cotto being unmarketable. Floyd is a great fighter, but this stunts aren't helping his legacy.

Who cares!!! Cotto has plenty of good fights left at 147.
Mayweather can rematch whoever he wants.
I cant wait till Cotto surpasses Mayweather in achievements.
Actually after reviewing Mayweather's resume i cant really find many great names on it. I can find good ones no great ones.

Floyd is a part time fighter nowadays, he states that. He will fight Cotto when Cottos stock shoots even further through the roof. Why fight him now when its worth treble in 6 months time.

kinda hard for me to imagine cotto getting 6 titles in different divisions:think, i'd rather he sticks to his comfortable fighting weight.:hat let floyd do what he wants, its still up to the people if they want to put up with it, still we can expect quality fights from fighters willing to give people/fans what they want. Not just take away their money:bart

Quality of opposition > belts in multiple weight divisions don't you think?

^^ I agree who cares about jumping up in weight.
Cleaning up the toughest division in boxing at this time is better than multiple titles.

And who has Cotto beaten of name?.... lets see... Shane Mosley in a close fight??? Zab Judah who mayweather dominated just as much?

And Cotto may give in fact in pretty sure he will give Mayweather a good fight... But aint no way any fighter ever (except paul williams IMO) can ever beat Mayweather decisively... aint no way anybody can beat mayweather decisively... Mayweathers too good.
